It seems the little bit of respect that Conor McGregor showed to Khabib Nurmagomedov in this video for defeating him at UFC 229 last October is no more.
“Notorious” and “The Eagle” once again renewed their rivalry — albeit online — as the two men hurled Twitter insults at one another recently. It all started when Khabib took to Instagram to post celebrating his five-round victory over Al Iaquinta last year at UFC 223.
For whatever reason, Conor opted to respond to Khabib’s post by bring up his huge monetary fine courtesy of Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for his part in the post-fight brawl (see it here), and the punch McGregor landed on his teammate during the scuffle.
You got your money took and your brothers eye socket shook when you fought me you little rat.
Viva Las Vegas baby the gaf always wins.

Take your victories where you can, I suppose.
In response, the current UFC Lightweight champion of the world clapped back at the Irishman by mocking his recent retirement form mixed martial arts (MMA) in order to start one on social media.
@TheNotoriousMMA money comes and goes, the honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it.

Indeed, with Conor abruptly retiring from MMA last week, the chances of seeing these two men mix it up inside the age went up in smoke. Of course, not everyone is fully sold on Conor’s decision to leave the fight game, especially when he was lobbying for a rematch a week prior.
Stay tuned.
