Khabib says the bad blood between him and Tony Ferguson is in the past.

Five times the UFC has tried to book Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, and five times the bout has fallen through. A lot of words have been exchanged between the two rivals throughout the years, but the UFC lightweight champ says that’s all “in the past” now.

Ferguson suffered a tough defeat against Justin Gaethje while headlining UFC 249 last Saturday, and Khabib has decided to send a few words of encouragement.

“Whatever happened is in the past,” Nurmagomedov wrote. “Heads up Tony, I hope everything is good with you and your family. When your son grow up, he’ll be proud with you.”

It’s nice to see former long term rivals share some kind words, and it does look like Ferguson has already been in great spirits.

The tough setback against Gaethje cost him an interim belt, along with the much anticipated bout with Khabib, but if his social media is any indication, that’s not something that’s going to keep ‘El Cucuy’ down. Ferguson took to twitter to post another video of him dancing, this time to celebrate how he’s about get discharged from the hospital during Mother’s Day.
