Ali Abdelaziz has some words for Conor McGregor, who is calling for an immediate rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
After his second submission loss in the UFC, Conor McGregor clamored for an immediate rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Analyst Joe Rogan does not agree with the idea, and so does Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz.
“He’s talking about a rematch and stuff like that. He quit, how are you going to give this guy a rematch? He’s a bitch,” Abdelaziz said in a recent interview with TMZ (transcript via MMA Fighting).
Abdelaziz was one of the targets of McGregor’s tirades during the build-up of the UFC 229 main event fight. While he says he did not take things personal, his issue was with the Irishman dismissing all of those personal attacks, saying it was “only business.”
“You know what makes me mad more than anything? Not that he talked about me or talked about Khabib. Stuff like that, I brush it off. But you talk all of this stuff and the third round comes and you come to me and tell me ‘it’s business,’ that’s a ho.”
“Like I said it before, he’s a prostitute and he’s still a prostitute,” he continued. I definitely haven’t changed my mind.”
Abdelaziz also has something to say about McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh.
“He’s nothing. He’s garbage. I don’t give a f–k about him,” he said. “If I’m inside an arena under regulations, I’m going respect the rules. But, outside the arena, there’s no rules for me. Out there on the street, I’m catching somebody.”
“There was a lot of stuff said about me I don’t like, but I am my own man. I chose to watch the fight from the backroom to get the attention off me. It was about Khabib and Conor. They’re the fighters.”
“But, if you think you’re gonna talk crazy and make fun of my religion? I’m going catch you outside.”
As for his client’s next career move, Abdelaziz says he is willing do “whatever brings Khabib money.”
