After a successful boxing debut that only lasted 17 seconds, Kevin Ferguson, also known as Kimbo Slice, will make his second appearance in the squared circle on October 15.

Feguson’s next opponent will be Ray Bledsoe, according to ESPN‘s Franklin McNeil, with the bout taking place at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.

It has been over a year since Slice was seen fighting in MMA, but he did take quite an amount of publicity with him into the boxing world: He knocked out James Wade in the first round of his debut bout in August.

Ferguson left Mixed Martial Arts with a 4-2 record, having fought in EliteXC, The Ultimate Fighter and twice in the UFC. He went 1-1 in the promotion before being dropped after his loss to Matt Mitrione.

Bledsoe brings a 2-3 record to the ring and is currently riding a three-fight losing streak. He was knocked out in each of his losses, including two that came in the very first round.

“(Ferguson) is just frightening and he is going to do much better in boxing than in MMA,” promoter Gary Shaw told ESPN. “Fans better not leave their seats during the action because somebody’s lights could go out at any time.”
