The main card for Bellator has been tweaked as New Jersey-native and jiu-jitsu black belt Tom DeBlass has withdrawn from his scheduled Bellator 123 bout opposite ‘King’ Mo Lawal due to injury. As a replacement, Marcus Sursa has stepped in to face Lawal. Bellator made the news official via release on Wednesday.

Lawal, 33, most recently competed at Bellator 120 in May where he lost to Quinton Jackson via unanimous decision. His professional record stands as 12-4 with 1 no-contest. He is 4-3 in the Bellator cage.

Sursa, 31, is on a two-fight win streak on the regional circuit. He last competed in June where he submitted Andrew Kapel in the third round of their bout. Sursa fought once under the Bellator banner at Bellator 20 in May of 2010 where he lost to UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez via TKO in the third round.

Bellator 123 takes place on September 5th from the Mohegan Sun Arena. The main card will air live on Spike TV. The event is headlined by a featherweight title clash between champion Pat Curran and challenger Patricio Freire.
