Surging featherweight prospect Giga Chikadze looked like a man on a mission earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 7, 2020) at UFC Vegas 13 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the former kickboxer stopped Octagon newcomer Jamey Simmons with a first-round TKO (head kick and punches).
Simmons looked surprisingly calm in the early going as he was able to get inside and work his clinch game against the bigger Chikadze. That was until Chikadze was able to separate and start to land his strikes. After a vicious kick to the stomach, Chikadze was able to connect with a kick to Simmons’ head. Simmons dropped to the canvas and Chikadze jumped on top for a few final punches.

With this performance, Chikadze improves his UFC record to 5-0 with four of those bouts coming in 2020. After the fight, Chikadze asked to fight in a co-main event in December. The rising featherweight contender may not get his wish to slot in a co-headliner, but it’s very possible he gets a fifth fight before the end of the year.
