Jessica-Rose Clark got back into the UFC win column earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 19, 2020) at UFC Vegas 11 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as “Jessy Jess” ended Octagon newcomer Sarah Alpar via third-round TKO (punch and knee).
Despite early pressure along the cage from Alpar this fight was Clark’s from the opening bell. She brutalized the newcomer with punches from distance and elbows inside that had Paul Felder salivating cageside.
In Round 3, Clark was able to land a big knee as Alpar was falling to her butt along the cage. The strike looked borderline illegal at first glance and referee Chris Tognoni put a stop to the action to review the knee. While the knee was deemed legal and Clark should have been awarded the TKO finish the referee allowed Alpar to decide if she wanted to continue.
Remember, this is the same referee who botched the Ed Herman low blow just last weekend.
Once the action started again Clark rushed in for more attacks. Her damage really started to pile up before she landed one final knee along the cage that put an end to the fight.
