Heavyweight prospect Chris Daukaus looked even better in his second trip to the Octagon earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 10, 2020) live on ESPN+ from inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., when the Philadelphia police officer finished previously undefeated Brazilian Rodrigo Nascimento via TKO (punches) just 45 seconds into the first round.
Daukaus wasted little time closing the gap on the grappling expert and landed a huge hook that put Nascimento on his butt. That allowed Daukaus the window of opportunity to jump on top and launch heavy ground-and-pound. Once Nascimento returned to his feet Daukaus blasted with a combination along the cage and forced the referee’s hand.

With this performance, Daukaus locks down his second-straight knockout finish under the UFC banner after taking out Parker Porter in his debut back in August. The 31-year-old Daukaus looked even slimmer for this “Prelims” battle and enjoyed quite the speed advantage over Nascimento.
It will be interesting to see how Daukaus’ hand speed holds up as he climbs the very dangerous UFC heavyweight ladder moving forward.
