Women’s bantamweight prospect Stephanie Egger scored her first UFC win earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 2, 2021) at UFC Vegas 38 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the Swiss fighter stopped Shanna Young via second-round TKO (punches).
Egger was in control of this “Prelims” fight from the opening bell. Young wasn’t able to defend the takedowns and did little to push Egger off of her when the action hit the ground. Egger kept the pressure up in the second, smacked Young up with a ton of punches, and earned the impressive finish.

Egger came up short in her UFC debut against rising contender Tracy Cortez one year ago so this victory was much needed for the 33-year-old prospect. With striking and grappling to boot Egger may be one to watch heading into 2022.
