Brandon Moreno did what he needed to do in order to stop Brandon Royval earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 21, 2020) at UFC 255 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as “The Assassin Baby” scored a first-round TKO victory after Royval separated his shoulder.
Moreno and Royval went back and forth to start the first. Royval was able to push the pace and make the flyweight bout a wild affair. It was up to Moreno to take control on the ground and threaten “Raw Dawg” with a neck crank. Royval was able to get free for a moment before Moreno was advancing again.
During an escape attempt Royval ended up popping his shoulder at of place. Moreno took advantage and started to throw short punches as the round ticked down. With one second left the referee saw enough offense from Moreno to step in and save the injured Royval, who ended up popping his shoulder back into place after the stoppage.

Moreno came into this fight with bad intentions since he was skipped over for tonight’s main event. The finish wasn’t as clean as he would have liked it to be, but “Assassin Baby” still put himself in a position to succeed. The win may have earned him No. 1 contender rights in the flyweight division.
