With tickets set to go on sale this week for UFC 152 in Toronto, Ontario, another bout was confirmed for the upcoming September event pitting lightweights Evan ’3-D’ Dunham (13-2) and Canada’s TJ Grant (18-5).
Officials with the promotion announced the lightweight division match on Thursday.
UFC 152 is expected occur on September 22, 2012 in at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Dunham has won two straight since back-to-back losses and is 6-2 overall in the Octagon since joining the promotion back in February 2009. He earned a “Fight of the Night” bonus in his last match, stopping Nik Lentz by TKO (Doctor stoppage) at UFC on FOX 2. The other victory was by decision versus Shamar Bailey at UFN 25 in September. ’3-D’ was to appear at UFC 146 versus Edson Barboza but was forced out with an injury.
Grant also walks into this fight with two straight wins, having won a decision over Carlo Prater at UFC on FUEL TV 3 and a submission victory versus Shane Roller at UFC on Versus 6 in October as part of Grant’s lightweight debut. Between matches, Grant was to have made faced Jacob Volkmann at UFC 141 but was pulled after an injury and replaced by Efrain Escudero.
