This is the Promotional Malpractice Live Chat.

First and foremost, the UFC is positively stacking three events in the month of December. We already knew about UFC 194’s middleweight cast, but now Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes are set to face off the night before at the finale for The Ultimate Fighter, season 22. That means in case Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo falls through, there’s a ready substitute to fill in. I like this approach and have been asking for it for years. There are other reasons to stack the card, but at a bare minimum, if it’s done to combat injury woes, it still is the right call.

And speaking of that finale card, by the way, features Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham as well as Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. That’s to say nothing of the new Junior dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem bout for UFC on FOX 17.

There’s also two combat sports events of note this weekend. Friday is Bellator 141, which features the Bellator debut of Melvin Guillard. And last, but certainly not least, there’s ADCC 2015. We’ll have coverage of both those events.
