Jake Paul and Ben Askren are headed to the scale to weigh in for the Triller Fight Club pay-per-view (PPV) boxing event, set for tomorrow night (Sat., April 17, 2021) inside Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Today’s weigh-in stream begins LIVE at 6 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
Paul and Askren have no prior beef and from a matchmaking standpoint have no real reason to even be fighting. That said, Paul is dabbling in the “sweet science” and needs opponents who are at or near his level of skill, which is why “Funky” eventually got the nod.
Askren, a former UFC welterweight, was known primarily for his wrestling.
Also tipping the scale at today’s weigh-in event are heavyweights Frank Mir and Steve Cunningham. Mir was previously scheduled to box Antonio Tarver in “The Peach State” but Georgia Athletic Commission would not approve a license for the aging “Magic Man.”
