UFC 292 live stream results and play-by-play updates: Reigning 135-pound champion Aljamain Sterling will make his fourth straight title defense when he collides with No. 2-ranked division contender and power-punching bantamweight fan favorite Sean O’Malley in the five-round main event. TD Garden in Boston, Mass., will host the promotion’s latest and greatest pay-per-view (PPV) card, streaming exclusively on ESPN+ (sign up here), with strawweight champion Zhang Weili locking down co-headlining duties. “Magnum” takes on Brazilian bruiser Amanda Lemos, who has five rounds to upset the 115-pound apple cart. Elsewhere on the UFC 292 main card, undefeated welterweight sensation Ian Machado Garry looks to establish himself as a bona fide title contender by taking out veteran gatekeeper Neil Magny, no stranger to 170-pound hype trains.

UFC 292’s five-fight PPV main card gets underway TONIGHT at 10 p.m. ET, beginning with the 135-pound showdown between Top 10 bantamweight bangers Marlon Vera and Pedro Munhoz. 135 lbs.: UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O’Malley

Round 1: O’Malley in green, Sterling in black. Sterling slowly forcing his way onto the front foot with kicks. O’Malley tries going forward a bit. Neither man has landed much of anything. Aljo with a body kick. O’Malley lands a front kick to the gut. Both men kick the leg. Very slow round 1, as both men are uber cautious of each other. Spinning back kick by O’Malley glances in. Sterling moves forward and gets a single-leg… can’t get the takedown, but some short punches in the clinch probably sealed the round for him.

10-9 Sterling

Round 2: Sterling immediately with a body kick. O’Malley slips on one of his own, which allows Sterling to get ahold of him. O’Malley is able to get free, but eats a shot while doing so. We’re back in and Sterling is pressing forward, overextends into a big right hand that drops him! That shot looked a lot like McGregor against Aldo. O’Malley is swarming! Aljo is moving, trying to stop the damage, but O’Malley is so long that he’s able to blast down some huge right hands. The ref stops it! And new!

Final result: Sean O’Malley def. Aljamain Sterling via TKO (punches)


115 lbs.: UFC Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili vs. Amanda Lemos

Round 1: Zhang in black, Lemos in yellow. Zhang catches a body kick and powers Lemos to the mat. Lemos tries to upkick, Zhang passes to side control. Zhang gets in some light GNP as Lemos works her way to the cage. Half guard and now the punches have some more sting. Series of elbows by Zhang. Zhang taking full advantage of the punches. All of a sudden, Lemos snatches a D’arce. It’s very close, but Lemos can’t get her legs into play at all. Great job by Zhang. Weili smashing in with a series of knees. All of a sudden she’s out and she’s on the back. She’s smashing Lemos here. Lemos gets out from the back mount, but she’s still on bottom.

10-8 Zhang

Round 2: Good right by Lemos, and Zhang lands a counter. Nasty right hand again by Lemos. Zhang ducks under a big overhand and she gets the big takedown. Side control. She tries to get to mount, but ends up in half guard on the other side. Lemos tries to sweep, but Zhang floats over and gets half guard back on the left side. Lemos rolls, nearly escapes, gets to her knees. Zhang takes the back and manages to get her hooks in. Zhang tries to get mount, but Lemos gets out and into her half guard. Good get-up by Lemos, as they’re clinching. Knees get exchanged before Zhang trips Lemos down. Zhang throws Lemos’ legs up and over and she uses the opportunity to take the back at the end of the round.

10-9 Zhang

Round 3: 1-2 from Lemos doesn’t connect clean. Zhang gets a clinch and they try and trip each other down. Finally Zhang gets the upper hand and Lemos is on her back. Zhang looks to get past the upkick threat and finally does. Lemos’ guard is wide open and Zhang immediately passes to side. Lemos tries to scramble and Zhang takes the back. Punches by the champ. Lemos rolls onto her belly and uses the space to push the knee of Zhang away so she can roll back into half guard. Zhang passes, but Lemos uses the room to stand. Nice elbows by Weili with a minute to go. They separate. Right by Zhang, left by Lemos. Sweet little jab-elbow combo by Zhang.

10-9 Zhang

Round 4: Zhang kicks to the leg and then to the body. Lemos seems to have learned the lesson about overextending, but doesn’t seem to be able to find a great balance between inaction and too much. There’s a couple of good punches by the challenger. Lemos with another right. Zhang slips on a kick, eats a punch as she stands. Zhang with a good straight right and a blast-double. Lemos threatens the D’arce from the bottom again, can’t finish it. Lemos kicks Zhang off and gets up. Both participants are tiring a bit here. Zhang lands a right. Lemos overextends finally and lands into a clinch. Zhang with an elbow on the break.

10-9 Lemos

Round 5: Zhang with a series of side kicks to the torso. Massive right hand plants Lemos all of a sudden and Zhang is all over her. Lemos has her wits about her and she tries to go for a heel hook. Nothing doing and Zhang is blasting away. Lemos still struggling, Zhang gets into a sort-of crucifix position, and she’s using her free hand to pummel away. Lemos is hanging in there and refuses to give up. She rolls and finally struggles her way up. Zhang maintains her grasp on Lemos and swings her right back down. Side control for Weili. Knees to the torso. Lemos manages to get a bit of space and swings up. Zhang using the side kicks to stay safe.

170 lbs.: Neil Magny vs. Ian Machado Garry

Round 1: Garry in green, Magny in black. Garry with a low kick as Magny is off balance and sends him to the canvas. Magny back up right away. Another low kick and Garry is down again, this time, he was planted firmly and just got chewed up. There’s a right hand, too. Magny finally gets a clinch, but Garry is able to get away and he’s back kicking Magny’s legs. They clinch and Garry has Magny up against the fence. Garry cheating a bit by draping his arm over the fence. Magny gets his leg entwined, but Garry pushes him to the mat, then backs up. Another calf kick and it sends Magny to the canvas AGAIN. Front kick to Magny’s face. Magny is limping badly now as he eats another leg kick.

10-9 Garry

Round 2: Magny with a pair of jabs. Garry back to the low kicks and boy, he is feasting. Magny gets a single-leg, but Garry’s defense is holding. Magny has Garry up against the cage. Now he’s got the back. Finally Garry breaks the hand grip. Head kick knocks the mouthpiece out of Magny, but he seems no worse for the wear from that. Leg kick and Magny is limping badly. Body kick. Flying knee. Magny pushes off the cage for a superman punch.

10-9 Garry

Round 3: Garry with a high kick this time. Garry back to chewing on that left leg of Magny like a dog on it’s favorite toy. Garry with a right hand and a leg kick that sends Magny to the canvas. Garry to the body, now the head, and a kick had Magny limping again. 1-2 and he gets mad as he continues to stalk Magny. Magny throws a couple of shots, but then we’re back to the 1-2-leg kick and down goes Magny again. Front kick mashes Magny. Finally, Garry follows Magny to the canvas as we’re down to about 45 seconds left. Not much there as the fight ends.

135 lbs.: Da’Mon Blackshear vs. Mario Bautista

Round 1: Blackshear in black, Bautista in blue. Both men low kicking early. Bautista circling, plants his feet and lands a solid hook. Blackshear gets a kick caught, they clinch and spin quite a bit. It ends with Blackshear holding Buatista to the cage. Blackshear spins Bautista over his hip and to the ground. Bautista scrambling up to his feet, gets a gut-munching knee for his troubles. Does land an elbow, however. Now they re-clinch and trade elbows. Blackshear with an inside low kick, looks like that was partially checked. Left by Bautista, but Blackshear powers through into a level change and a takedown. Bautista up right away, but Blackshear has the back. They go to the mat. Bautista spins and he’s on top. Blackshear scrambles, eventually gets a takedown, but into a guillotine. It looks pretty good, but Blackshear gets out of it after about 10 or 15 seconds. He’s on top briefly as Bautista is scrambling up. Blackshear another body knee.

Round 2: Bautista with a straight punch to the chest. Nice elbow, too. Now Bautista goes for the takedown, can’t get it. They clinch and they elbow each other repeatedly. Clinch. Blackshear backs up Bautista to the links and is pressing his advantage. Pair of low kicks by Blackshear and one to the body. Halfway through the round. They clinch off a failed Bautista takedown attempt. Now Blackshear misses one. Good overhand right by Bautista. Bautista pressing forward, gets met with a nice level change. Bautista back up instantaneously. They clinch and elbow. Blackshear lands an overhand.

10-9 Bautista in a close round

Round 3: Bautista with an overhand right. Blackshear lands two leg kicks. Blackshear with a 1-2, Bautista responds by landing a nice right hand. Another. A third. Bautista tries a takedown, doesn’t get it, but elbows on the break. They clinch fight and are kneeing & elbowing each other. Another solid leg kick by Blackshear. Bautista powers Blackshear into the cage. They bounce off and Bautista uses that momentum to finally get a takedown. Two minutes to go and Bautista is backpacking Blackshear. Blackshear nearly up, but dragged back down again. And again. Gets the back this time. Blackshear finally gets up to his feet and is free. He powers forward with a right hand that knocks Bautista down as he went for a kick. Bautista spins Blackshear down.

135 lbs.: Marlon Vera vs. Pedro Munhoz

Round 1: Vera in green, Munhoz in black. Munhoz out kicking to open the round. Vera catches one and dumps Pedro, tries to kick him on the way up and man, that was close to a DQ if that landed. Munhoz kicking again to the body and the legs. Vera gets in some low kicks. Munhoz tries a shot, it’s stuffed. Low kicks from Munhoz, a knee by Vera. Two left hands by Munhoz as he switches stances. Good jab by “Cheeto”. Both men with jabs. Vera front kick.

10-9 Munhoz

Round 2: Munhoz with a right hand and a body kick. Vera got out-volumed last round, and he’s getting out-worked, too. He’s getting in some nice jabs, but it’s almost 2:1 for Pedro. Vera gets in a left around the guard of Munhoz. Two nice rights by Munhoz. Munhoz with a pair of leg kicks. Munhoz lands a left hand. Both men land rights. Munhoz’s nose is a bit bloody from the stinging Vera jabs. Right by Munhoz, two good lefts by Vera. Nice left-right by Pedro, who dives out of the way of a counter.

10-9 Munhoz

Round 3: Good work by Munhoz to continue with his high volume. Three great jabs by Vera. Vera with a nice right hand, Munhoz replies with one of his own. Vera landing significantly this round. Great liver shot by Vera. Munhoz with a trio of right hand lands. Vera’s jab is like a magnet to the nose and mouth of Munhoz. Good left and right by Vera. Munhoz still working and gets in a right on an unfazed Vera. Vera counter-left. Munhoz with a slapping right hand. Another. A third by Munhoz at the end. Good fight.
