Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will make a quick turnaround for its FOX Sports 1 return, lighting up the airwaves TONIGHT (Sat., July 14, 2018) with UFC Fight Night 133 inside CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho, which includes additional preliminary bouts airing on UFC Fight Pass. Headlining the “Gem State” fight card is the heavyweight showdown pitting ex-division kingpin, Junior dos Santos, opposite dangerous international import and longtime Sambo deity Blagoy Ivanov. In the welterweight co-main event, 170-pound wunderkind Sage Northcutt tries to prove he can fight as good as he looks by tussling with division “Barbarian” Zak Ottow. In addition, former featherweight No. 1 contender, Chad Mendes, makes his return from suspension opposite Myles Jury, while Cat Zingano tries to reclaim her place atop the 135-pound contender’s board at the expense of Marion Reneau.

Round 2: Right hook by Carmouche. Maia looking for right hands. She goes low-high with a combo. One minute in. Low kicks from Carmouche, Maia answers in kind. Round 3: Overhand right from Maia. Carmouche hits a blast double and Maia tries to roll through, but winds up on the bottom in guard. Maia holding onto her wrists. Carmouche tries a can opener, avoids an armbar, and drags her back to the mat when she stands. One minute in. Carmouche stays patient for a while, then passes to side control two minutes in. She immediately takes mount and then the back. Maia regains half guard. Two minutes to go.

Maia looking for deep half guard. Carmouche blasts her with some heavy elbows and forces her back to the mat. Maia rolls to her knees with a minute to go. Maia makes it to her feet and they separate. Maia looking to march after her. Right hand from Maia, front kick from Carmouche. They trade punches until the bell. 10-9 Carmouche.

125 lbs.: Mark De La Rosa vs. Elias Garcia

Round 1: They trade in the center to start. Low kick from Garcia. Both falling short so far. Garcia tries a high kick a minute in. Cartwheel kick attempt. De La Rosa catches a body kick, looks to complete the takedown as Garcia looks for a knee. Garcia jumps guard and looks for a triangle, only for De La Rosa to pull a Charles Bennett and spin to fling him away. Combination from De La Rosa and he grabs double underhooks on the cage. Two minutes to go.

De La Rosa takes him down into guard. Garcia immediately bring his legs up and looks to work. Body triangle now. Good elbow from De La Rosa. Garcia turns for an armbar, so De La Rosa pulls his elbow out and does another spin toss. Now De La Rosa landing combinations on the feet. Garcia with a left downstairs. 10-9 De La Rosa.

Round 2: Garcia throws a head kick, eats a combo in return. 1-2 and body kick by Garcia. One minute in. Solid shots from Garcia as De La Rosa flurries and ties up on the fence. De La Rosa looking for the back, gets a hook in. Both and now he’s looking for the choke. He’s got it locked in and there’s the tap.

115 lbs.: Jessica Aguilar vs. Jodie Esquibel

Round 1: 1-2 from Aguilar, Esquibel lands a left hook in return. Both looking to jab. Aguilar wades into the clinch, eating blows, and lands some knees as Esquibel reverses. More good knees by Aguilar a minute in and she looks for a single-leg. Esquibel grabs the fence to defend the takedown, then pops back up when she gets slammed down anyway. Aguilar posts to stay up, takes more knees. Aguilar changes levels for another takedown two minutes in. Esquibel stands and grabs double underhooks. Knees to the thigh by Aguilar as she’s pressed against the cage. Not much from Esquibel. Now a good knee to the body, eats one from Aguilar and they separate. Two minutes to go.

Up-jab from Esquibel. Falling short with punches, lands to the body. 1-2 from Aguilar grazes the chin. Knee catches Esquibel leaning. One minute to go. Esquibel combo falls short, Aguilar lands a pair of punches. Good right hand connects for Aguilar. Esquibel chases her without success. 10-9 Aguilar.

Round 2: Staying at range in the early going, neither landing clean. Left hand lands for Esquibel. Aguilar aborts a shot. Good right hand lands for her. Three-piece from Esquibel in return.
