Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on television TODAY (Sun., May 27, 2018) with the UFC Fight Night 130 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which features a welterweight main event between Stephen Thompson and Darren Till, who battle for a spot in the 170-pound title chase. Elsewhere on the card, held inside Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, welterweight veteran Neil Magny looks to win his second straight by taking on local product (and late replacement) Craig White, while Arnold Allen and Mads Burnell hook ‘em up in featherweight action.

Round 2: They open the round trading punches. Stewart finds the mark with a right hook. stiff jab by Spicely, who gets hurt with a counter right. Stewart pursues, walks into a hard right hand. Stewart stuffs a takedown and they briefly tie up. Stewart to the body. Jab drops Spicely and Stewart follows him into guard, where he drills Spicely with punches for the finish.

185 lbs.: Tom Breese vs. Daniel Kelly
Round 1: Today is not a good tech day, apparently, so we start about 80 seconds in. Neither man landing clean with their punches yet. Two minutes in. Breese the busier of the two, looking for combinations. Low kick from Kelly. 1-2 from Breese. Two minutes to go.
Kelly just can’t reach him so far, but is avoiding a lot of incoming fire. As I say that, an uppercut from Breese damages Kelly’s eye. Kelly backs off, claiming a poke, but the ref confirms it was a punch and Breese pounds away for the finish.
Final result: Breese def. Kelly by TKO (punches)
135 lbs.: Lina Lansberg vs. Gina Mazany
Round 1: Lansberg catches a body kick for a takedown, can’t keep her down. Knee to the body connects. Mazany reverses position on the fence. One minute in. Mazany lands a 2-1 after disengaging, then steps back into the clinch. Knees to the thigh. Lansberg reverses position two minutes in. Elbow upstairs. They separate. Two minutes to go.
Lansberg lands a head kick and puts Mazany back on the cage. Elbow lands for Lansberg. Knee to the body. They trade knees inside with a minute to go. Knee and elbow connect for Lansberg. Ref separates them. Lansberg lands a body kick and they engage in the clinch. 10-9 Lansberg.
Round 2: Mazany opens with a leg kick, moves into the clinch. Lansberg pressing her against the fence, eats a knee. Trading knees inside. One minute in. Ref separates them. Round 1: Scott on the advance early. Stiff jab. 1-2 from Pedersoli in return. Body kick lands. One minute in. Overhand right from Pedersoli. Scott tries to catch him circling with a left hook, lands a leg kick. Pedersoli tries a head kick. Scott low kick and jab. Wheel kick attempt from Pedersoli falls short. Two minutes in. Scott straight right met by an overhand left. Scott lands a leg kick, eats a side kck. Two minutes to go.
Scott to the body, eats a 1-2 in return. Pedersoli connects with a counter left. Counter left lands for him. Pedersoli threatens a Superman punch off the fence. Spinning back kick. One minute to go. Round 3: Tentative start to the round. Pedersoli catches a kick, can’t use it. Straight left lands for him. Body kick. One minute in. Pedersoli tries a high kick, lands a body kick, eats a left hook. Side kick connects. Scott still looking to walk him down, lands a right hook. Two minutes in. Both fall short with their punches. Body kick from Pedersoli and a blast double. Scott looking for a guillotine, sweeps his way to his feet. Pedersoli staying busy with the rear leg. Two minutes to go.

125 lbs.: Molly McCann vs. Gillian Robertson
Round 1: Robertson opens with leg kicks. Left hook lands for her. McCann denies a takedown. One minute in. McCann uppercut just misses, right cross does not. Uppercut lands this time. Overhand right connects clean, left hook behind it. Robertson looks for a single-leg and runs the pips for a takedown into half guard. Two minutes in. Robertson staying heavy, driving her shoulder into Mccann’s neck. Two minutes to go.
Robertson denies Mccann’s attempt to stand and moves to mount. Looking for an armbar. Ground-and-pound, now both hooks in. Robertson maintains her control until the end of the round. 10-9 Robertson.
Round 2: Robertson looks for another early takedown, then hits an arm drag to wind up on top again. Robertson already back in mount a minute in. Now the back. Robertson looking for the choke, finally locks it up and puts McCann to sleep.

185 lbs.: Trevor Smith vs. Elias Theodorou
Round 1: Theodorou lands an early uppercut. Smith tries to tie up, gets taken to the fence. Smith digs to the body and they jockey for position. Theodorou doing the better dirty boxing so far. One minute in. Smith ducks in for a low double as Theodorou fires hammerfists. More reversing position on the fence. Good knees from Theodorou. Wild swings as they separate. Smith ties up and they trade body blows two minutes in. Theodorou lands punches as they separate. Another uppercut from Theodorou, knees as they re-enter the clinch. Left hands as they split. Two minutes to go.
Theodorou lands a nice side kick. Smith leg kick, bigger Theodorou knee in return. They trade inside. Smith runs in and lands a left hook, then they tie up once more. One minute to go. Dirty boxing on both sides, big knee by Theodorou. Smith lands a knee, solid uppercuts from Theodorou as they break. 10-9 Theodorou.
Round 2: Theodorou lands a body kick, looks to go high. Both connect with left hooks. Smith lands a leg kick, Theodorou looks for the Thai plum. Smith gets in relatively deep on a double-leg, rolls through for his first takedown of the night. Theodorou pops right back up a minute in. He reverses on the cage. Good knee. Smith lands one of his own. They separate, then tie right back up. Theodorou denies a takedown with a whizzer, Smith still driving. Two minutes in. Theodorou again works his way to his feet, lands a knee. Smith loses his mouthguard as they move about. Elbow from Smith, but Theodorou lands his best combo of the night. Two minutes to go.
Smith looks for a single-leg without success. Double underhooks, but the ref separates them. Theodorou lands a hard uppercut and overhand right. Elbow by Theodorou, then a clash of heads as Smith throws back. One minute to go. Ref calls time to look at the cut from that headbutt. Smith hops in with a knee and Theodorou catches it. Trading knees inside. Knee from Theodorou in the waning seconds. 10-9 Theodorou, but I wouldn’t argue 10-9 either way.
Round 3: Theodorou fires a side kick, then clips Smith when the latter tries to pressure. Smith lands a low kick and a knee as Theodorou tries to retreat. One minute in. Smith still marching after him, eats a pair of punches inside. Knees in the clinch. Smith hits a nice knee tap and sets up in guard. Two minutes in. Theodorou gets to his knees, Smith looks for the back. Theodorou looks to drive and Smith counters with a front headlock. Theodorou works his way up, eats a knee as Smith looks for another takedown.
Theodorou denies the same rolling takedown that Smith caught him with earlier. Smith still driving, though. Theodorou gets his leg out and they return to their feet. Knee from Smith. One minute to go. They separate after trading more knees. Elbow from Theodorou, back to the knees. Theodorou lands an elbow and Smith straight-up runs at him to try to get a last lick in. 10-9 Smith.
