Aspinall catches Tybura with an elbow, then floors him with a right hand down the pipe. He swarms Tybura and unloads with punches until the ref steps in.

125 lbs.: Molly McCann vs. Julija Stoliarenko

Round 1: Stoliarenko pushing forward, eats an overhand right. Solid body shot by McCann. They trade two-pieces in the center. Short hook by Stoliarenko a minute in. Even exchanges so far. Stoliarenko ducks a right hand for a takedown, then latches onto McCann’s back. Stoliarenko spins for the armbar and there’s the tap.

145 lbs.: Andre Fili vs. Nathaniel Wood

Round 1: Straight left from Fili to kick things off. Wood comes back with kicks and FIli times one for a straight left knockdown. Wood pops up and they go back to neutral. One minute in. Fili body kick, Wood low kick. Wood attacking both legs. Overhand right lands for him. Body kick, low kick two minutes in. Double jab from Wood, then a straight right that wobbles Fili. Wood hunts him down to drop him against the fence and unload punches. Fili manages to tie him up in half guard, so Wood starts picking his shots with elbows and punches. Two minutes to go.

Fili closes his guard. He’s got a cut in a bad-looking spot near his left eye. Wood lets him up and chops his leg on the way. Fili shoots, denied. Wood body kick. One minute to go. Fili tries a head kick. Dart left hand. Head kick blocked, Wood just misses with another 1-1-2. Some posturing before the bell. 10-9 Wood.

Round 2: Short hook stings Fili, who catches a kick but can’t use it. Head kick from FIli glances off. Wood body jab and counter hook. Inside low kick a minute in. More inside low kicks, three in a row. Fili to the outside. Jab exchange, then a murderous left hook from FIli that hurts Wood again. Fili immediately grabs the Thai flinch and slams home three nasty knees to send Wood to the mat. FIli jumps on his back and a wild scramble ensues, ending with Wood getting to his feet two minutes to in and taking Fili’s back in return. Fili quickly turns into top guard. Two minutes to go.

Things slow down considerably. Fili playing tight, landing short punches. One minute to go. More of the same until the bell. 10-9 Fili.

Round 3: Trading jabs to start the round. More low kicks from Wood to both the inside and outside. One minute in. Fili leg kick, half-committed straight left. Double jab from Wood, then a 2-3 by Fili. Trading jabs two minutes in. Fili’s getting the better of it. Fili tries a head kick, eats leg kicks. Chippy back-and-forth. Fili shoots with two minutes to go, denied.

Fili has controlled the range this round. Low kicks and jabs from both men. Fili tries a wheel kick with a minute to go. Big left hook by Wood, Fili sticks out his tongue. Fili body kick, Wood low kick. Stiff counter left by Wood. Fili cracks him with a 1-3, then absorbs a body kick. Wood shoots, denied, earns a finger-wag for his trouble. Fili tries a jumping head kick. Shoot, close round. 10-9 Fili on early volume.

185 lbs.: Paul Craig vs. Andre Muniz

Round 1: Solid body kick from Craig. All kicks through the first minute. Spinning back kick from Muniz, then a blitz. Craig tries a spinning back kick. Two minutes in. Pure sparring so far. Body kick from Craig. Still almost exclusively kicks on both sides. Slick head kick from Craig with two minutes to go, then a nice jab.

Oblique kick from Muniz, then a head kick. Craig answers with a body kick. One minute to go. Both whiff on punches ear the fence. Munoz catches a body kick and takes Craig down. Butterfly guard for Craig at the base of the fence. 10-9 Craig, I guess? His body kicks were the best strikes and nothing happened with the takedown.

Round 2: Trading kicks to start once again. Craig wraps up the clinch and essentially just runs Muniz across the cage for a takedown. Standing over Muniz, eats a heavy upkick. Triangle from Muniz a minute in. He switches to an armbar, no dice, looking for his own takedown. Good finish to land on top in guard. Elbows from Muniz two minutes in. Solid punches. Muniz chips away, but comes down blatantly head-first, prompting the ref to take away the position and stand them up. 2-1 from Munoz, who wades after Craig in slow-motion and falls victim to a double-leg. Crucifix neck crank with two minutes to go.

Muniz tries to sweep, Craig remains on top in half guard and hunts a d’arce. It’s not that deep and Craig releases it to drop shots from side control. Good elbows with a minute to go, right into full mount. Craig postures up and drops heavy punches and elbows. Craig unloading and here comes the ref.

Final result: Craig def. Muniz by TKO (elbows)


155 lbs.: Jai Herbert vs. Fares Ziam

Round 1: Low kick from Ziam to start. Herbert lands his own. Herbert jab, Ziam left hook a minute in. Herbert leaning hard on the low kicks. 1-2 from Ziam. Body kick two minutes in. Herbert doing well with the leg kicks. He gets double underhooks and puts him on the fence. Trading knees downstairs. Two minutes to go.

Ziam landing the slightly heavier clinch blows as Herbert looks for takedowns. Ziam reverses, can’t get the high crotch. Fighting for position. One minute to go. Nice elbow and right hand from Ziam on the exit. Check hook. Again, double jab. Low kick from Herbert, who eats another check hook and gets knocked back by a teep. 10-9 Ziam.

Round 2: Herbert pushing forward, Ziam looking to keep him away with left hands. Left hook to low kick, Herbert lands his own leg kick. Good body shot from Herbert met by a 1-2 a minute in. Herbert puts him on the fence. Slick knee from Ziam. They separate and trade heavy punches. Herbert keeping him near the fence, eats a body kick. Back into the body lock a minute in. Trading knees to the body. Slick elbow by Ziam on the exit. Jabs, 1-2. Herbert tries a trip, denied via whizzer with two minutes to go.

Trading knees to the body again. Nice takedown by Ziam puts Herbert on his rear. Herbert quickly sweeps to his feet. One minute to go. Back to kneeing each other in the body against the fence. Ziam separates. 2-3 by Ziam, then another sharp check hook. Herbert wades in, eats an uppercut as he clinches. 10-9 Ziam.

Round 3: Trading kicks to start. Both looking for combinations. Low kick exchange a minute in. Neither landing their 1-2s. Check hook by Ziam. Again. Hard low kick appears to bother Herbert. Another low kick stings him and Herbert shoots two minutes in. Herbert looking for the back. Ziam turns to face him. Ziam tries a whizzer kick, lands a solid knee on the way up. Two minutes to go.

More knees from Ziam. Herbert tries his own trip, can’t get it. Fighting for position. Each lands one more knee before separating. Another low kick exchange. Herbert low kicks. One minute to go. More low kicks. Low kick from Ziam. He shots a double, gets hauled to the fence, reverses. Near-completion on the takedown. 10-9 Ziam but these were all swing rounds.

Final result: Ziam def. Herbert by unanimous decision


145 lbs.: Josh Culibao vs. Lerone Murphy

Round 1: Murphy on the front foot. He slips throwing a spinning back kick and Culibao puts together a nice combination before tying up. Jockeying for position against the fence a minute in. Culibao separates 40 seconds later. Solid low kick by Murphy two minutes in. A lot of staring going on. Culibao body kick. Head kick attempt. Two minutes to go

Culibao tries a combination. Culibao fires another combo, eats a solid left hand as he’s throwing. Murphy ties up and puts him on the fence. Nice elbow on the break, then a calf kick with a minute to go. Big 1-2 from Murphy into a level change. Culibao landing hammerfists as he defends. Sneaky knee from Murphy, then a combo on the break. 10-9 Murphy.

Round 2: Both wing combos until Culibao ties up. Fighting for outside position on the fence. Good knee from Murphy. Culibao drags him down, can’t keep him there a minute in. Murphy turns and separates. Culiabo tries combos, then a level change, which Murphy sniffs out. Heavy shots from Murphy on the exit, met by a knee from Culibao. Culibao whoops after eating a leg kick. Body shot two minutes in. Murphy gets clipped in an exchange before coming back with heavy shots and tying up. Body lock for Murphy, looking for the back. Two minutes to go.

One hook in for Murphy, then the other. One minute to go. Elbows from Murphy. He loses a hook, puts it back in. 10-9 Murphy.

Round 3: Body kick from Culibao, elbow from Murphy, who follows with a level change. Culibao threatens a front choke before changing levels himself. One minute in. Elbow on the exit. Murphy lands a body kick and Culibao flops to the mat, allowing Murphy to land on top and settle in guard. He postures up for some punches, then looks for the back. Culibao tries to sit up into him and Murphy wraps up a d’arce with two minutes to go.

Culibao manages to wriggle his way free, but remains stuck on the bottom in half guard as Murphy drops elbows and punches. Another d’arce and this one looks deeper. No dice. Culibao turns to his knees with a minute to go. Back to his feet, dragged back to his knees by Murphy. Culibao stands again and an outside trip puts him right back on the mat. Murphy postures up for some big elbows. Culibao scrambles to a knee before the bell. 10-9 Murphy.

Final result: Murphy def. Culibao by unanimous decision


135 lbs.: Davey Grant vs. Daniel Marcos

Round 1: Low kicks from Grant to start. Harder one from Marcos in return. Front kick attempt, looping right blocked a minute in. Cut kick from Marcos trips Grant up for a moment. Both men taking their time, throwing mostly prodding shots. Grant tries to spin and avoids a combo. Two minute in. Grant pushing forward, eats a low kick. Both fire right hands, calf kick by Marcos. Neither connects in a heavy exchange. Two minutes to go.

Surprisingly slow-paced fight so far. Grant tries a jump knee. Good calf kick by Marcos, who eats a right hand and a body kick. Grant tries another knee with a minute to go. Marcos calf kick, Grant teep. Still nobody landing anything major. Both wing right hands, neither connects. Grant slips on an ugly wheel kick. 10-9 Marcos, I suppose.

Round 2: Grant opens with a front kick attempt. Marcos with a half-hearted jump knee. Both leaning a lot on low kicks. Left hook from Marcos a minute in. Grant trying to throw volume. Round 3: Grant staying on the front foot, trying to corral Marcos with power shots. He shoots, denied. Low kick met by jabs from Marcos. Marcos giving a lot of ground as Grant advances a minute in. Counter hook from Marcos, then a clean flying knee. Grant to the body. Marcos doing very well behind the jab. Grant rushing him with awkward combinations, struggling to land clean. Marcos lands a Yair/Zombie-style elbow that draws a nod two minutes in. Grant’s pressure and volume are working for him despite Marcos picking him off with the jab. Grant to the body. Again. Counter right to answer a leg kick. Two minutes to go.

Overhand right by Grant, teep behind it. They trade in the center, no major connections either way. Body shot again, body kick behind it. Another body shot by Grant. Marcos is retreating a lot and not offering as much in return. There’s a counter right from him with a minute to go. Grant low kick and left hook. Grant calling him on as he advances. Round 1: Parsons plodding after a circling Roberts. Both try head kicks. Left hand from Parsons in combination. One minute in. Parsons checks a leg kick, tries a head kick. No clean connections so far. Low kick exchange. Parsons tossing out more head kicks, eats a body kick and looping left. Two minutes in. Roberts keeping him at bay with kicks. There’s a body kick from Parsons. Roberts goes low-high with left hands. Both attack the body. Heavy body kick from Parsons, eats one in return. Two minutes to go.

Nice combination from Roberts leads to an awkward exchange. Body kick to right hand from Parsons. Nice clubbing right lands for Roberts. The speed and footwork are all Roberts, though Parsons is getting his licks in. One minute to go. Body kick to head kick from Parsons. Roberts rips the body. Round 2: Parsons continuing to wade after Roberts and fire kicks. They tie up and Parsons puts him on the fence. Elbow on the break. Combinations from Roberts back him off. Roberts changes levels, nearly eats a knee on the way. Parsons defends and slams home another elbow before separating. Nasty body shot from Roberts. Parsons lands one of his own, eats another, then a counter left. Roberts gets clipped by an awkward shot and hits the deck, allowing Parsons to jump on top and drop some heavy punches before settling in half guard. Roberts manages to get to his feet and immediately knuckles down, trading bombs. Two minutes to go.

Big 1-2 from Parsons. Uppercut kicks off a vicious combo and Parson’s going for the kill. Vicious knees. Roberts forces him back with heavy swings. Clean straight left. Body shot. One minute to go. Clubbing left sneaks around Parson’s guard and they’re going for it again. Both men absorb massive shots and Parsons forces Roberts to his knees. Back to the feet. Jab exchange and Roberts’ legs give out for a second. He’s still slugging, barely able to stand, and Parsons finally puts him down with a vicious combo in the final seconds. Roberts protests, but his legs were gone for like two minutes straight.

Final result: Parsons def. Roberts by TKO (punches)


155 lbs.: Joel Alvarez vs. Marc Diakiese

Round 1: Diakiese looking for low kicks. Alvarez just misses with a counter knee, then lands his own leg kick behind a left hook. Heavy leg kick. Diakiese to the calf, then the body. Good exchange a minute in. Diakiese lands a calf kick, tries a spinning back fist. Combo from Alvarez. They trade lefts and Diakiese backs away. Big overhand right from Diakiese two minutes in. Alvarez controlling range well, avoids a spinning back elbow and lands a jab. Counter 1-2. Good jab, nice check. Two minutes to go.

Low kick, 1-2-3, jab from Alvarez. Teep. Diakiese throwing heat but not landing clean. Wheel kick falls short from Alvarez, jab and low kick do not. Diakiese 1-2. One minute to go. Combo to low kick by Alvarez. He ducks a spinning back fist and grabs a body lock. Looking for a falling back take, Diakiese ends up on top. 10-9 Alvarez.

Round 2: Diakiese tries a two-touch spinning back kick, then hits a takedown against the fence. Full guard. One minute in. Alvarez moving around on his back, Diakiese smothering. Two minutes in. No ground-and-pound from Diakiese. Body lock on the way up. Two minutes to go.

Diakiese takes him back down. Alvarez sits out and Diakiese shoots, only to get sprawled on and end up on the bottom. Alvarez landing punches from turtle. Solid punches from guard before Diakiese stands. Their heads collide, but the ref tells them to keep going. Alvarez opens up with combinations, and when Diakiese tries a desperation shot, Alvarez sprawls and wraps up a d’arce for the finish.

Final result: Alvarez def. Diakiese by submission (d’arce choke)


265 lbs.: Mick Parkin vs. Jamal Pogues

Round 1: Inside low kicks from Parkin. Cross counter. One minute in. Parkin doing good work with the inside low kicks. Mostly jabs and low kicks so far. Parkin cross counter. Parkin in the lead after two minutes. High-low combo. Sneaky right hook from Pogues. Good overhand right. Two minutes to go.

More leg kicks from Parkin. Pogues shoots and puts him on the fence. Solid elbow on the break. 1-2-uppercut stings Pogues. They trade right hands after Pogues fails a shot. Right hand from Parkin, blocks a combo in return with a minute to go. 1-1-2 by Pogues, clean jab. More leg kicks by Parkin. Big exchanges in the center. 10-9 Parkin.

Round 2: Parkin continuing to eat up Pogues’ lead leg, prompting him to shoot and haul him to the fence. Single-leg attempt. Trading in the clinch. One minute in. They separate. Parkin goes back to the low kicks. Two minutes in. Another calf kick. Pogues hasn’t thrown a single punch in the last minute. Now they try to exchange on the fence. Two minutes to go.

185 lbs.: Makhmud Muradov vs. Bryan Barberena

Round 1: Quick head kick attempt from Muradov to start as Barberena tries to pressure. Muradov shoots and puts Barberena on the fence. Good single-leg finish, looking for the back on the way up. One minute in. Muradov holding onto a body lock as Barberena tries to work his way up. Muradov gets him to his seat and tries to advance. Two minutes in. Right hand from Barberena on the exit. Two minutes to go.

Both men staying out of range. Good check hook from Muradov that Barberena acknowledges. Solid uppercut, then a nasty counter right into a takedown. Half guard with a minute to go. Barberena scoots to the fence, stands, and separates. Back to pressuring, walks into a hard body kick, jump knee, and head kick. 10-9 Muradov.

Round 2: Heavy right cross from Muradov backs Barberena up. Again. Body kick blocked. One minute in. Heavy two-piece catches Barberena turning away and floors him. It’s an ugly knockdown, but Barberena survives and gets back to his feet. Hard counter right. Two minutes in. Barberena still trying to wade after him and call him on. Nasty counter right from Muradov, then a counter hook. Another counter right as Barberena lunges in. Barberena trying to pressure and land leg kicks. Two minutes to go.

Another counter left by Muradov. Barberena lands a left on the exit and Muradov changes levels for another takedown. Back up, back down. Barberena uses the fence to stand again and again Muradov drags him down with a body lock. Back up, back down, back up, back down with a minute to go. Barberena gabs a kimura grip, gets taken down into half guard for it. Muradov pulls his arm out and their heads clank together as Muradov comes back down, prompting a pause. Barberena works his way up again, slammed back down again. 10-8 Muradov?

Round 3: Another counter right from Muradov to answer a low kick. Solid body kick. Muradov catches a low kick and jumps on Barberena before he can stand. Back up, back down, back up a minute in. Barberena considers a ninja choke and eats a body shot on the exit. Barberena seems like his eye is bothering him after a rake. Muradov shoots, denied. Two minutes to go. Solid right from Barberena, still trying to pressure Muradov doubles up the right hand for another knockdown. Heavy body kick when Barberena pops back up. counter right to answer a flying knee, then one of his own with two minutes to go.

Body shot from Muradov. Barberena still game, lands a couple of left hands. Left from Barberena after denying a level change. Heavy right cross to uppercut by Muradov. Counter two-piece. Both change levels at the same time and their heads collide hard. They take a bit to recover, then restart with a minute to go. 135 lbs.: Pannie Kianzad vs. Ketlen Vieira

Round 1: Three-piece from Kianzad to start. Both looking for overhand rights. Kianzad’s combos looking solid early. Vieira shoots a single-leg and dumps Kianzad into side control a minute in. Back to half guard, looking for an arm triangle. Kianzad trying to turn into her two minutes in. Vieira controlling well so far, not threatening many strikes or submissions. Kianzad regains full guard. Two minutes to go.

Vieira retakes half guard after denying Kianzad’s knee shield. One minute to go. Vieira passes to side control and looks for a kimura. 10-9 Vieira.

Round 1: Ashmouz opens with a wheel kick attempt. Quick head kick attempt from Duncan. Ashmouz wades in with a 2-3, can’t land clean. One minute in. Duncan really looking for that head kick. Solid low kick. Ashmouz tries a head kick. Counter uppercut from Duncan, low kick exchange two minutes in. Duncan getting the better of a stop-and-start fight so far, staying busy with the kicks and avoiding Ashmouz’s swings. Two minutes to go.

Ashmouz just not committing to anything. Duncan puts together a nice combo. Ashmouz whiffs on an overhand, shoots, denied. Solid combos from Duncan in return with a minute to go. There’s a glancing overhand from Ashmouz and a leg kick behind it. Duncan body kick. Hard knee by Duncan, then a takedown in the waning seconds. 10-9 Duncan.

Round 2: Ashmouz might be dealing with an arm injury. Flying knee from Duncan. Nasty low kick behind a punch. Ashmouz seems overwhelmed and Duncan is sharp today. One minute in. Big knee by Duncan. 1-2. He avoids a flurry from Ashmouz. Spinning back kick. Two minutes in. Low kick. Ashmouz is barely fighting this round. Head kicks whiff. Another whiff on a right hand, Duncan comes back with heavy rights and a clean knee. Two minutes to go.

Wheel kick from Ashmouz just blocked. Another whiff on an overhand, body kick attempt. Nice head kick attempt from Duncan that Ashmouz circles into. One minute to go. Duncan shoots, denied, lands a jump knee. Stiff jab. Ashmouz tries a jump knee and slips on the way down. 10-9 Duncan.

Round 3: Quick hug to start the round. Ashmouz lands an overhand and Duncan comes back with a gnarly combo. Ashmouz’s left hand is out of commission. Duncan really coming on strong with combos. Big elbow. Stiff jab. 1-2. One minute in. Ashmouz is still hurling right hands but Duncan is eating him alive on the fence. Duncan to the body. Counter knee. Two minutes in. Duncan took his foot off the gas for a bit but now he’s back on the attack, piecing a compromised Ashmouz up against the fence. Solid body kick. Big knee with two minutes to go.

More combinations from Duncan. Another knee. 1-2s, knees. Duncan clobbering him against the fence. Easy outside trip into turtle. Ashmouz works his way up with a minute to go. Two-piece from Duncan on the exit. Jump knee just misses for Ashmouz. 10-9 Duncan.

115 lbs.: Shauna Bannon vs. Bruna Brasil

Round 1: Both firing low kicks to start. Brasil slips landing a front kick. Lunging right just misses. One minute in. Nice chopping right and she avoids Bannon’s attack. Check hook; lateral movement looks good tonight. Bannon flicks out some lead-leg kicks, eats a 1-2 and leg kick. Two minutes in. Bannon falls short with a blitz, eats another leg kick. Nice head kick by Brasil. Bannon tries to swarm against the fence. Nice jab by Brasil; Bannon’s having a ton of issues with Brasil’s range. Two minutes to go.

Bannon tries a head kick, misses with another blitz. Heavy right cross by Brasil. Right hand to head kick. Check hook with a minute to go. Bannon’s falling short with everything. Side kick lands for her. Wheel kick comes up short. 10-9 Brasil.

Round 2: Solid side kick from Bannon to start. Brasil digs a right to the body. Low kicks. Bannon comes back with a two-piece. Bannon backs her to the fence and ties up a minute in. Knees to the body, jockeying for position. Brasil reverses, lands some solid knees. Two minutes in. Solid knees by Brasil, who’s had her against the fence for most of this minute. Bannon reverses, looks for an inside trip. Ref separates them with two minutes to go.

Big check hook from Brasil. Low kick and jab by Bannon. Side kick to the body. Brasil tries to run after her with a right hand. Bannon 1-2. One minute to go. Another 1-2 from Bannon, whiffs on an overhand right. Spinning back kick and spinning back fist back to back from Brasil, then an easy takedown. She rides out the round in half guard. 10-9 Brasil.

Round 3: Bannon comes out aggressively, trying wheel kicks. 1-2 from Brasil. Slick axe kick lands for Bannon, but there’s just no power behind the kicks. One minute in. Low kick and jab. Check hook by Brasil. Both miss head kicks, Bannon lands a side kick. Nice jabs. Two minutes in. Hard left hand. The jab’s working for Bannon now. Good left hook by Brasil. Bannon continuing to fire inside low kicks and jabs. Hard 1-2 dings an off-balance Brasil with two minutes to go.

Brasil ties up and Bannon takes her to the fence. Brasil reverses and lands knees to the body. One minute to go. Brasil continuing to control against the side of the cage. Takedown into half guard. Brasil postures up and lands shots. Bannon turns for an armbar. 10-9 Bannon.

Final result: Brasil def. Bannon by unanimous decision


125 lbs.: Daniel Barez vs. Jafel Filho

Round 1: Solid jabs from Barez to start as he pressures. Filho looking to kick in return. Filho shoots, denied, eats another jab and some calf kicks. Another calf kick after catching Filho coming in. Barez goes low-high with left hooks, then drops FIlho with another body shot before waving him up. Liver kick drops Filho again, Barez lets him up again. Heavy pressure from Barez, who denies a takedown. Liver shot. Filho coming back with volume, landing solid hooks. Big left hook upstairs. Barez catches him coming in with an overhand right and they slug it out on the fence. Filho now forcing him back with heavy shots and takes him down against the fence. Half guard for Filho. Two minutes to go.

FIlho looking for an arm triangle. He hops to mount, then side control, and there’s the tap.

Final result: Filho def. Barez by submission (arm triangle choke)
