Ladd doing nothing so far as Dumont patiently fires the jab. One minute to go. They trade lefts. Sorely unpleasant round. 10-9 Dumont.

Round 2: Ladd tries a few jabs. She’s just bobbing around and getting jabbed in the face without doing anything. Now an attempt at a combination. One minute in. More Dumont jabs. Ladd takes her to the fence two minutes in. Dumont circles out and separates. Two minutes to go.

More of the same; Dumont sitting at range and potshotting, Ladd showing zero urgency. One minute to go. Both land lefts. Garbage fight so far. 10-9 Dumont.

Round 3: More of the same. Dumont circling and picking Ladd off. Now Ladd shoots two minutes in after eating a combo. They separate with two minutes to go.

Back to Ladd plodding after her. She shoots, denied with a minute to go. No inclination to press the action in the last seconds. 10-9 Dumont.

Round 4: Now Ladd’s pushing forward, ties up on the fence. One minute in. Knee from Dumont as she separates. Two minutes in. Ladd right back to sitting at range and getting picked off. 1-2 from Dumont. Ladd tries a head kick, lands a couple lefts. She takes Dumont to the fence. Two minutes to go.

Dumont takes her down into half guard. Dumont looking to pass. One minute to go. Ladd sweeps into top position and starts firing hard elbows and punches. 10-9 Ladd?

Round 5: Ladd punches into the clinch, absorbing a right hand as she does. Dumont looking to separate, puts her on the fence, gets reversed. Jockeying for position. Good elbow from Ladd. Two minutes in. Still pressing her against the fence. Decent elbow. Two minutes to go.

Ref wants more action. One minute to go. Short elbows. Dumont lands knees downstairs. More knees from Dumont. 10-9 Ladd.

265 lbs.: Andrei Arlovski vs. Carlos Felipe

Round 1: Low kicks from Arlovski early. Felipe to the body, takes a low kick. One minute in. Both men tentative. Hard body kick by Arlovski, who takes a low kick in return. Glancing right from Felipe. Arlovski chopping away at the legs, takes a body kick two minutes in. Felipe falling short with his punches. Arlovski body kick. Two minutes to go.

Sweeping right lands for Arlovski. Multiple lefts. Felipe just can’t deal with the range so far. Good combination. Brief clinch. One minute to go. Felipe with a body shot, both miss badly with overhands. Arlovski low kick, landing on the back foot. Another low kick. Arlovski with a late blitz and jab. 10-9 Arlovski.

Round 2: Body blows from Felipe to start. Arlovski comes back with combinations. Glancing right by Felipe, who tries to open up on the fence. One minute in. More kicks from Arlovski, right hands around the guard. Felipe still falling short with most of his punches. Hard lead right by Arlovski in combination. Felipe still trudging after him. Two minutes in. Low kick from Felipe, harder one from Arlovski. Arlovski picking him apart at range. Counter elbow from Felipe. Two minutes to go.

Arlovski claims a finger in the eye, which Felipe denies. 2-3 appears to land for the Brazilian, who eats a straight right. Arlovski body kicks with a minute to go. There’s some decent combos from Felipe, who stings Arlovski with right hands in the waning seconds. Flying knee connects. Still 10-9 Arlovski.

Round 3: Felipe back on the march. Arlovski tries a head kick, misses a straight right. Arlovski claims an eye poke and Felipe uses the opportunity to open up with combos. 1-2-3 by Felipe. One minute in. Brief clinch, separation. Good body shot from Felipe, left hook upstairs. Good right cross by Arlovski. Felipe wades into the clinch two minutes in. Arlovski 1-2, Felipe overhand right. Leg kick lands for Arlovski, then another. Arlovski slips and Felipe looks to pound against the fence. Knee to the body from Felipe. Two minutes to go.

They separate. Arlovski lands a two-piece. Good exchange. Felipe with a pair of overhand rights to answer a leg kick. Both men clearly fatigued. clinch knee by Arlovski with a minute to go. 155 lbs.: Erick Gonzalez vs. Jim Miller

Round 1: Gonzalez active early, not landing clean. Low kick from Miller. Good straight left and head kick into the clinch. Gonzalez briefly reverses, gets pressed against the fence again. Trading knees a minute in. Gonzalez gets double unders and trips him into half guard. Miller starts to work from guard and Gonzalez lets him up. Low kick and straight left by Miller but Gonzalez immediately hurts him in return, prompting Miller to take him down into guard. Looking to chip away with two minutes to go.

Gonzalez manages to stand and put him on the fence, then land a good elbow. Miller throwing with him, gets backed to the fence. Heavy exchanges. Stinging counter left by Miller. Low kick lands. One minute to go. Huge counter 1-2, then another left that rocks Gonzalez. Miller trying to polish him off, gets clinched. He looks for a takedown, opens up on the way up. 10-9 Miller.

Round 2: Gonzalez steps in with a lazy kick and just gets knocked into oblivion by a counter left. He’s unconscious on impact but Miller has time so slam home some more huge punches before the ref breaks it up.

Final result: Miller def. Gonzalez by KO (punches)


125 lbs.: Manon Fiorot vs. Mayra Bueno Silva

Round 1: Exchanging at range to start. Sharp right hand from Fiorot, who takes a body kick in return. Side kick to the body. One minute in. 1-2-1. Straight left, side kick. Another straight left and side kick. Silva comes back with a body kick. 1-2-3 by Fiorot, takes a calf kick. Silva absorbing a lot on a high guard. Two minutes in. More side kicks by Fiorot. 1-2 splits the guard. Low kick from Silva, then another. Body shot by Fiorot, eats another calf kick. Side kick knocks Silva on her butt, drawing a smile. Two minutes to go.

Fiorot side kicks. Silva still blocking a lot of the head shots but getting outworked. Right hook and side kick by Fiorot, who takes a body shot and low kick. One minute to go. Silva calf kick. Fiorot with a right hook and a takedown into guard. Silva spins for an arm, then a leg, can’t get either. 10-9 Fiorot.

Round 2: Fiorot goes right back to the combinations, lands a solid right hand. She shoots, denied, keeps pushing for it. Brief pause to address a wardrobe malfunction. Fiorot keeping her against the fence. One minute in. Knees to the thigh. Ref splits them up. Solid left by Silva, good right hand. Fiorot side kicks and body shots. Silva continuing to march after her two minutes in. Fiorot bouncing combos off her guard and Silva mugs in response. Silva body kick. Fiorot continuing to outwork her but it’s getting fraught. Two minutes to go.

Silva putting her hands behind her back to taunt. Fiorot tries a trip, can’t get it. Right from Fiorot on the break. Side kick. Low kicks from Silva. One minute to go. Fiorot combos, side kick. Brief clinch, body kick from Silva. Fiorot right hook. Head kick attempt, side kick. Silva body kick and low kick. 10-9 Fiorot.

Round 3: Fiorot continuing to bounce 1-2s off the guard. Silva trying to walk her down, lands a leg kick. Fiorot side kick, blocks a head kick. 1-2-1, side kick. Stiff straight left, long combo, double-leg attempt a minute in. Fiorot on top in half guard. Hard ground-and-pound. Back to guard, then side control, dropping punches. Two minutes to go. Standing over Silva now, gets her mouthpiece upkicked out. They restart on the feet. More combination work by Fiorot, who can’t get the trip. Silva still taunting but getting completely outworked. Two minutes to go.

Fiorot takes her to the fence, eats a knee downstairs. Ref splits them up with a minute to go. Right back to the volume. Fiorot lands to the body, avoids a flying knee, can’t get the takedown. Silva pushing forward, cracked with a right hook. Trading at close range. Fiorot continues to potshot until the bell. 10-9 Fiorot.

145 lbs.: Ludovit Klein vs. Nate Landwehr

Round 1: Early low kick from Klein. Landwehr tries a head kick, lands a low kick. Body kick lands for Klein. One minute in. Klein looks for a head kick. Landwehr body kick answered in kind. Klein lands a straight left, first clean punch of the fight. Hard knee to the body and he puts Landwehr on the fence. Landwehr reverses two minutes in. Jockeying for position. Knees from Landwehr before they separate. Two minutes to go.

Lots of feints, not many committed strikes. Low kick from Klein. Body kick soon after, eats a counter right. Another body kick from Klein, who eats a straight right in return. One minute to go. Low kick by Landwehr. 3-2 from Klein. Body kick exchange. Landwehr leg kick. Klein lands a counter right, eats a knee to the body, and they slug it out until the bell. 10-9 Landwehr in a close one.

Round 2: 1-2-head kick from Klein. Landwehr ties up and puts him on the fence. Elbow from Klein, takes short knees. One minute in. Knees to the thigh from Landwehr. Right hand on the break. Klein tries a body kick. Heavy combination. Good right hands from Landwehr, which prompt a shot from Klein. Knees to the head, looking for an anaconda choke. Body shots, knees. Rolling for the anaconda. Klein scrambles out and stands with two minutes to go.

Knees from Landwehr, hard elbow. They separate. Klein just misses with a head kick, tries to spin and gets clinched. Great dirty boxing by Landwehr, who hurts Klein with a right hand. Continuing to push forward and land. Klein spinning back fist, more slugging from Landwehr. Knee upstairs. Heavy rights in the clinch. Klein looks like he’s about given up. 10-9 Landwehr.

Round 3: Jab lands for Klein. Landwehr low kick. Klein body kick, Landwehr overhand right. One minute in. Heavy straight left from Klein. Heavy close-range exchange, right hands from Landwehr. Klein times a takedown attempt but ends up on his seat against the fence. Landwehr looking for the anaconda again two minutes in. There’s the tap.

Final result: Landwehr def. Klein by submission (anaconda choke)


185 lbs.: Andrew Sanchez vs. Bruno Silva

Round 1: Silva pushes forward, lands some brutal body shots against the fence. Front kick attempt, leg kick. Sanchez ducks a 1-2 and shoots, hunting a single-leg. Nice finish against the fence. Sanchez on top in half guard. Two minutes in. Silva stuck on his rear against the fence. Two minutes to go.

Elbows from Silva off his back. Sanchez postures up for some more shots. Silva kicks him off and stands. Knee to the body with a minute to go. Silva tries an ankle pick. Sanchez fire a knee that lands right to the cup, pausing the fight. They restart at range. Both kick at the same time and Silva takes another kick to the balls that really seems to have hurt him. He nonetheless manages to get back to the fight before long. 10-9 Sanchez.

Round 2: Trading leg kicks to start. Silva blitzes and Sanchez grabs a rear waist lock, shrugging off a short elbow in the process. Down, up, down, up. One minute in. Silva suddenly goes off with hard elbows off of his back, but gives up guard. He tries to kick Sanchez off, can’t. Knees to the thigh from Sanchez. Silva goes for the switch, can’t get it. Sanchez looking for the back, landing punches. Silva back up, back down. Two minutes to go.

Sanchez not really landing any strikes. Back up, back down. One minute to go. Back to guard. Now Sanchez throws a solid punch. He tries to swing as they separate. 10-9 Sanchez.

Round 3: Silva lumbering forward, tries to open up. Sanchez left hand, Silva body shots. More brutal shots on the fence, then Sanchez kicks him in the balls again, losing a point in the process. Sanchez really looks tired. He shoots, denied. Good straight left by Silva. One minute in. Heavy flurry by Silva, hammering away on the fence. Heavy body shots. Silva really tearing into him against the fence, but staying patient. Sanchez tries to tie up, can’t, eats more body shots. Combination by Sanchez, clean left hook that Silva ignores. Continuing to batter against the fence. Good knee two minutes in. Sanchez tries a foot sweep, can’t get it, lands a clean left hook. Silva still swinging, hurts him with a right hand and tees off until Sanchez slumps.

Final result: Silva def. Sanchez by TKO (punches)


170 lbs.: Ramazan Emeev vs. Danny Roberts

Round 1: Emeev slowly pushing forward, lands a sneaky left hand. Roberts tries a head kick. More lefts by Emeev. One minute in. Right hand to the body. Counter right upstairs. Uppercut whiffs two minutes in. Nice single-leg puts him on top in center cage. Roberts trying to set up a triangle. Emeev passes and looks for the back with two minutes to go.

Roberts manages to slip out and avoid the RNC before standing. Hard knees on the break. Left hook from Emeev glances off with a minute to go. Roberts falls short with a body shot, takes a right hand inside. He changes levels, eats knees from the front headlock. No dice on the Roberts single-leg. Counter right and elbow by Emeev. 10-9 Emeev.

Round 2: Roberts tries a body kick, avoids a low single. Emeev left hook. Another single-leg attempt, trading in the clinch. Emeev takes him to the fence. Emeev goes for a rolling kimura that nearly puts him on top, can’t get it. Roberts comes back with heavy punches and ties up. Emeev reverses. Rear waist lock. Two minutes to go. They separate. Heavy straight left lands for Roberts. Brief clinch. Jab from Emeev. who hits a single-leg. Two minutes to go.

Roberts looks to scramble, gives up side control hunting a triangle. Emeev wraps up an anaconda choke, can’t quite roll through. They both land on the way up. Straight right by Emeev. Roberts shoots with a minute to go. Emeev reverses and they scramble. Emeev fires a spinning elbow, Roberts ties up. Good elbow met by Emeev right hands. Close round. 10-9 Roberts?

Round 3: Roberts fires an early combination, denies Emeev’s first takedown of the round. Roberts tries a knee on the break. Counter elbow from Emeev. Trading body blows in the clinch. One minute in. Knee to the head, jockeying for position. Good body knees by Roberts, hard swings on the break. Emeev grabs a body lock. Reversed two minutes in. More good clinch strikes by Roberts. Emeev with another elbow, trading hands. Head kick attempt, gets in deep on a single-leg but can’t get it. Trading bombs again. Two minutes to go.

Both fire knees. Hard 2-3 by Emeev as they exchange. He puts Roberts on the fence for a moment. Trading heavy punches, clinch. Emeev stings him with an uppercut with a minute to go. Roberts throwing back. Emeev with a hard counter right into the clinch. Roberts storms forward and they exchange until the bell. 10-9 Emeev on that near-knockdown.

Final result: Roberts def. Emeev by split decision


125 lbs.: Luana Carolina vs. Loopy Godinez

Round 1: 3-2 from Godinez, knee from Carolina in return. Godinez takes her to the fence. Jockeying for position. Trading knees a minute in. Continuing to fight for position. Godinez moves to a rear waist lock. Two minutes in. Carolina tries an elbow on the break. Godinez catches a kick and puts her on the fence once again. She switches to a double-leg and completes the shot with two minutes to go.

Carolina working her way up. Nice scramble puts Godinez back on top in side control. chipping away. one minute to go. Looking for an armbar setup, lands elbows and locks it up but can’t extend the arm in time. 10-9 Godinez.

Round 2: Godinez continuing to advance, shoots against the fence. Good knees from Carolina before they separate. One minute in. Low kick lands for Carolina, eats one in return. Godinez with a counter left, nearly leans into a knee but manages to turn it into a takedown attempt. No dice and they separate two minutes in. Godinez catches a body kick and shoots again, eating hammerfists. Denied. Trading punches. Carolina low kick. Nice counter knee with two minutes to go.

Godinez counters a low kick with a right cross. Carolina lands a two-piece. One minute to go. They exchange in the center. Counter 1-2 by Carolina to answer a leg kick. Head kick just blocked. Godinez goes for a low single that gets Carolina to a knee. Hammerfists from Carolina, elbow as she defends. She frames and separates. 10-9 Carolina.

Round 3: Low kick from Carolina. Godinez having trouble getting inside. There’s a nice combination on the fence. Hard body shot met by a knee, which she absorbs before changing levels. Knees from Carolina in the clinch a minute in. Godinez spins around to a rear body lock. Carolina defends with a whizzer. More knees two minutes in. Separation. Carolina tries a head kick, lands a leg kick. Nice right hand as she defends. Godinez lands her own right and shoots against the fence, avoiding a knee as she does. Two minutes to go.

Godinez gets the waist lock again. They separate with a minute to go. Body kick and two-piece by Carolina. Godinez lands a lead right. Godinez ducks a head kick and shoots. More knees from Carolina before they separate. Carolina tries to end strong and fights off the final takedowns. 10-9 Carolina.

Final result: Carolina def. Godinez by unanimous decision


135 lbs.: Danaa Batgerel vs. Brandon Davis

Round 1: Danaa on the front foot to start. Heavy combination near the fence. Davis lands a stiff jab. Hard 1-2 briefly drops Davis, who pops right back up. Low kick from Davis a minute in. Counter right lands clean for Danaa. Wheel kick attempt. Counter hook over a Davis jab. Davis answers with a snap kick to the body, eats more right hands. Danaa storms forward and drops him hard with an overhand right. Danaa swarms him with punches, keeps hitting when Davis stands, and forces the ref into action.

Final result: Danaa def. Davis by TKO (punches and elbows)


115 lbs.: Ariane Carnelossi vs. Istela Nunes

Round 1: They meet in the center and immediately start trading punches. Both land good right hands. Carnelossi barrels forward, can’t tie up. Good low kicks from both women. Sharp counter rights from Nunes, who absorbs an overhand right and repeatedly grabs the fence while trying to stop a single-leg. Carnelossi gets her down, back up a minute in. Good knee by Nunes before they separate. Looking for head kicks. Two minutes in. Body kick. Carnelossi blitzes and puts her on the fence. Nunes with some knees as she defends. Two minutes to go.

Still locked up on the fence. They separate with just over a minute to go. Nunes sending out kicks, lands a right cross. More sharp counters. Carnelossi ties up, can’t stay there. Both landing well, Nunes the sharper of the two. Hard rights from Nunes. 10-9 Nunes.

Round 2: Carnelossi right back on the advance, trading heat. She trades levels against the fence, gets her down despite another fence grab. Back up a minute in. She manages to complete another one two minutes in. Nunes stuck on her seat against the fence. Back up, lands a knee downstairs. Two minutes to go.

Nunes manages to separate and fire a knee. Nasty 1-2 lands for her. Body kick attempt, left hand. Nunes still moving well. Nunes right cross, Carnelossi left hook. Carnelossi shoots through a right hand to land a double-leg with a minute to go. Low mount against the fence. Now half guard. Some right hands landing. Nunes gets to her feet before the bell. 10-9 Carnelossi.

Round 3: Hard right cross from Nunes. Flying knee attempt, low kick. Carnelossi still pressing forward but much more slowly than before. There’s a left hook by “Sorriso.” Trading near the fence. One minute in. Carnelossi to the body. Nunes with a 3-2 as she circles. Elbow attempt, gets caught by a long right hand. Good 1-2. Hard left hook from Carnelossi and she shoots. Nunes gets away with another fence grab two minutes in, gets taken down anyway. Carnelossi getting into a dominant position, manages to wrap up back mount. She gets the RNC and there’s the tap.

Final result: Carnelossi def. Nunes by submission (rear naked choke)
