The UFC won’t be holding a card in Brazil in June.
The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4 Finale, officially announced for June 27 in Sao Paulo, was moved to Miami, Fla., and it has a new main event. Former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will take on Yoel Romero in a five-round middleweight contest.
MMAFighting.com confirmed the changes with sources close to the situation following a report by Combate.
Romero (9-1) hasn’t fought since a third-round knockout victory over Tim Kennedy in September. Since signing with the UFC in 2013, the American Top Team fighter cut down to 185 pounds and went 5-0 with four stoppages.
Machida (22-6) will get a quick turnaround following a second-round submission loss to Luke Rockhold. The Brazilian veteran, now 3-2 as a middleweight, is 1-1 since losing to Chris Weidman in a middleweight title bout last July.
Erick Silva vs. Rick Story, initially set as headliner for the event in Sao Paulo, was moved to the co-main event spot. The other bouts announced are Lorenz Larkin vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio, Thiago Santos vs. Steve Bosse, Nikita Krylov vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Rani Yahya vs. Masanori Kanehara.
