M-1 Challenge 73: Emeev vs. Tokov extended video preview

M-1 Global documented the Emeev and Tokov’s respective training camps in preparation for one of the biggest fights in Russian MMA this year.

Ahead of M-1 Challenge 63, which takes place in the Republic of Ingushetia, the promotion opted to document the respective training camps of Anatoly Tokov and champion Ramazan Emeev ahead of their anticipated clash on Saturday.

The crew followed Emeev in his hometown of Makhachkala, Dagestan. The 29-year-old middleweight champion trains at the renowned Gorets gym. The name Gorets also carries infamy of their late head coach and Russian MMA pioneer Mussail Alaudinov, who was assassinated because of his unsavoury ties with the detained former Makhachkala mayor, Mr. Said Amirov.

Emeev’s opponent, Anatoly Tokov, is a former ACB champion who opted out of his contract to sign with M-1 Global. The talented middleweight was also part of ‘Team Fedor,’ a select group of young fighters handpicked by Emelianenko to train with him. Tokov is 24-1 in his professional career, which includes victories in RIZIN, EFN, and ACB in his last three fights. He is also on a 17-fight win streak dating back to 2011.
