Former UFC welterweight title contender Rory MacDonald will make his PFL debut when he collides with 170-pound veteran David Michaud in the promotion’s April 29 main event, though a city and venue have yet to be revealed.

“Red King” (21-6-1), who parted ways with Bellator MMA back in late 2019, is part of a $1 million welterweight tournament that includes rough-and-tumble veterans like Ray Cooper III and Magomed Magomedov, among others.

Michaud (18-6), himself a UFC veteran, is 3-2 for PFL.

“PFL prides itself on being a fighter-first organization and we look forward to seeing the superior talent in each matchup,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo. “I’m excited to see both the welterweights and light heavyweights live in action as I know PFL 2 will be one to remember.”
