A car thief learned the hard way.
Maybe the bright yellow fanny pack boosted his confidence in pulling off the crime, but a would-be car thief instantly learned the hard way that he targeted the wrong person.
As seen on the security cam footage, Bellator vet and current UFC welterweight Jordan Williams walked into a store sporting his fanny pack. Moments later, a man enters his car and tries to steal it.
The man couldn’t immediately drive off, which gave Williams enough time to open the door, get a Muay Thai clinch, and land some knees.
Williams posted the video on social media and gave more details, while saying his fanny pack game was on point during the entire incident.
“So someone tried to steal my car today,” Williams wrote with the hashtag #thatfannypacktho.
“If you are wondering why my car was still on its the same reason why he couldn’t drive away,” he said. “I have a push to start and my car won’t go unless the keys are within 5 ft of it and I have them on me always. Needless to say my lesson was learned and I hope so was his.
“Wish I would of hit him with the trip after the clinch work when I tossed him out of the whip, and finish off with some ground and pound but I’ll settle with getting my car back
“Also I know you see the stillness of that fannypack, fannyback game was on point this could be a commercial for them.”
Williams, 30, has dropped his first two official UFC bouts since getting a call up due to his KO win in Dana White’s Contender Series. He is also 2-0 in Bellator and 9-5 overall in his eight year MMA career.
Since we’re on the topic of targeting the wrong people, someone tried to steal Derrick Lewis’ vehicle as well recently. I think you can imagine what the UFC heavyweight contender did to him.
