UFC lightweight, and TUF 12 participant Cody ‘AK Kid’ McKenzie (12-2) has a new opponent for the upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 3 event in promotion newcomer Marcus LeVesseur (21-5).

UFC on FUEL TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier (aka UFC on FUEL TV 3) is expected to take place on May 15, 2012 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The event features a main event between featherweights Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier.
LeVesseur is a former Minnesota State University NCAA Division III national wrestling champion with nine-years of pro-experience. LeVesseur will enter the Octagon on a three fight win streak with a 6-1 record over his last seven matches. His most recent win coming in August of last year at a local event in Minnesota, earning a rare decision victory after ten (T)KO finishes and seven submissions.
McKenzie is looking to end a two fight losing skid, having been submitted in both of those fights since winning his debut at the TUF 12 Finale in December 2010. The ‘AK Kid’ had his last fight in September of last year, losing by second round submission to Vagner Rocha. Before that he suffered his first pro defeat to Yves Edwards at the Fight for the Troops 2 show, losing via rear-naked choke.
