UFC featherweights Mark ‘The Machine’ Hominick (20-10) and Eddie ‘The Filipino Phenom’ Yagin (15-5-1) are still scheduled to face one another at UFC 145, they just won’t do it in Montreal, Canada.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship recently swapped venues for the upcoming UFC 145 card, shelving the Montreal date in March due to a schedule conflict, and instead moved the event number to a slated April 21, 2012 show in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hominick and Yagin are the first official bout for the re-set event, with the promotion announcing the news at UFC.com.

The UFC is heading to Hotlanta and the first fight on the card has been announced: featherweight contender Mark Hominick will take on up-and-comer Eddie Yagin. Both fighters had agreed to the bout when it was slated to take place in Montreal; that event has since been shelved.

News of the Atlanta date was originally announced last week on FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight, which airs every Tuesday at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT.

Hominick has now lost two in a row, losing to Chan Sung Jung last month in Toronto after a seven-second knockout by ‘The Korean Zombie’. The other loss came by decision versus Jose Aldo at UFC 129 as the Brazilian successfully defended his title in the UFC’s first stadium event. Previous to those losses, Hominck had won five straight.

Yagin debuted with the UFC this past September at UFC 135, losing by decision to Junior Assuncao at the Colorado event. The loss ended a two fight win streak and puts him at 2-2 in his last four which includes winning the Tachi Palace Fights 10 featherweight title last August.
