MMA and kickboxing fan favorite Mark Hunt turned 46 just last month but instead of spending his twilight years on some beach in New Zealand, the “Super Samoan” is preparing for an additional six fights to close out his storied combat sports career.

Not because Hunt is struggling to say goodbye to the fight game, but rather because he needs extra cash to pay for his latest lawsuit against UFC. Hunt is hoping his efforts will help clean up the sport of MMA while protecting fighters from “thieves” like Dana White.

“At the end of the day, he’s just a grub,” Hunt told Duello Channel (via MMA Junkie). “He’s a thieving little grub. That’s all he is. A lot of the fighters are scared to speak up about it. You’re actually fighters not just in the Octagon, but everywhere. To get guys like this to come around to kiss-ass these (expletive) guys like Dana White, it’s a joke. He’s just a joke. He’s an idiot.”

Hunt (13-14-1, 1 NC) parted ways with UFC following an uninspired loss to Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night 142 back in late 2018, his third straight defeat in a dreadful 1-4 slump dating back to his Brock Lesnar contest roughly four years back.

Which helped spur yet another lawsuit.

“I’m talking about a boxing fight with some people now, but I want to fight six more times,” Hunt said. “I want to finish my career, but I have to pay for this lawsuit against the UFC. I’ve got to finish this. I want to fight six more times and be happy with it.”

Like the man said … no regrets.
