Floyd Mayweather has issued a response to Khabib Nuramgomedov in typical fashion.
A week after a dominant victory over Conor McGregor, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov immediately made moves to boost his stock further. Over the weekend, he was seen with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe issuing a challenge to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“Hey, let’s go Floyd. We have to fight now. 50-0 vs 27-0. Two guys, never lose,” Khabib said in a video posted on Ellerbe’s Instagram account.
“Let’s go! Why not? Because in the jungle, only one king. Of course I am the king, because he cannot drop McGregor, but I dropped him easily. Let’s go.”
Mayweather is no stranger to MMA fighters calling him out, and while he famously boxed former UFC champion Conor McGregor last year, other callouts have fallen on deaf ears. This time, however, he obliged Khabib with a response.

The undefeated Dagestani seemed to have been made aware of Floyd’s reply, to which he also issued his own.
It is quite unclear whether or not Khabib was serious about his challenge, as no specific rules for the fight had been determined. For now, he will first have to deal with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who will decide upon his sanction for the UFC 229 post-fight brawl in a hearing set for October 24th.
