Floyd Mayweather says he has a few exhibition fight offers on the table, including one between his protege and Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan.
Floyd Mayweather was full of surprises at his protege Gervonta Davis’ last fight. Wild claims from Mayweather are hardly a surprise, since he’s been saying crazy things for most of his legendary career. The last time he said something very few believed at first, was that he was going to fight an exhibition fight against Japanese kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa at a RIZIN event on New Year’s Eve.
Well, he actually did end up doing that. And he stopped Tenshin in inside a minute.
So after 130-pound champ Davis (21-0, 20 KO) easily disposed of Hugo Ruiz in one round on the weekend, Mayweather sounded off about a few other things that seem a little wacky on the surface. Like Davis following in his footsteps and doing an exhibition fight against Nasukawa in April in RIZIN.
“We got an exhibition bout with the guy Tenshin in Japan in April.” … “Yes, he’s fighting Tenshin in an exhibition bout in Japan.”
Apparently that’s a real thing. He then turned the attention on himself, talking about getting paid more than he was supposed to get for the Nasukawa “fight”. And that he has some $80 million in offers for other exhibition matches:
“You know what’s crazy? The exhibition was supposed to be $9M, but I end up making $10M.”

“Am I having more exhibitions? Probably so. Most likely, yeah. I got about $80M on the table worth of exhibitions.”
He didn’t elaborate on who or where those might take place. Mayweather (50-0, 27 KO) hasn’t competed in an official bout since he stopped Conor McGregor in August 2016. He has repeatedly said he’s retired for good. However, the specter of a rematch with Manny Pacquiao might mean enough money for him to change his mind. With all these supposed exhibitions on the table though, who needs a Pac rematch? Right?
