Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza also says Floyd Mayweather may have fought his final fight.

At 44 years old, Floyd Mayweather Jr. once again defied Father Time with a dominant performance against Logan Paul. Despite entering Sunday night’s exhibition with a size and weight disadvantage, “Money” Mayweather put on a clinic against the 26-year-old YouTuber.

During an in-ring interview, Mayweather said he did have fun but wasn’t able to give a straight answer on whether or not he will take on another exhibition bout.

“We don’t know what the future holds, but I’ll talk it over with my team and see where we go from there,” the 44-year-old undefeated boxer said. “You’ve got to realize, I’ve been in this sport 25 years. And I understand that I’m not 21, I’m not 25. But I had fun tonight.”

During the post-fight press conference, “The Money Team” gave a more definite answer. According to Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza, Sunday night is likely the last time boxing fans will see Floyd Jr. inside the boxing ring.

This may be — despite everything that I’ve tried over the last six years — this may be the last time we see him in the ring. And, so, whether you like the exhibition or not, whether you agree on the opponent or not, give this man his flowers today.

They said he was too small to lead the sport of boxing, said there’s a small guy, wasn’t gonna make money. They said a guy who left a big promoter wasn’t gonna have a successful career. Back in 2014, they said he was done. The other network let him go because they thought his best days were behind him.

And we saw the last of him in 2015, he gave us a little bonus in 2017. Record-breaking bonus. Gave us a little taste in Japan, gave us another little taste, another reminder. I just wanna say, there will be some criticism, but we can’t pay attention to that.

Give this man his respect. For every true boxing fan, it is a joy to see this man in the ring each and every time he is in there.

Mayweather was also asked whether or not he’s open to doing it again, which he said, “Probably not.”

Throughout his professional career, Mayweather retired a total of three times. After taking on his last pro fight against Conor McGregor in 2017, he’s been all about exhibition matches. A year later, he faced kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in a three-round bout, which he finished inside two and a half minutes.
