Floyd Mayweather Sr. says Conor McGregor is going to “get the hell beat out of him”.
Heard about that bizarre report that Floyd Mayweather may return to have his 50th fight against UFC champ Conor McGregor? Many believe it can’t happen because of Conor’s UFC contract, but for what it’s worth, Floyd Mayweather Sr. just brought negotiations for a bout against an “MMA Fighter”.
“He had told me the other day that he’s going to take another fight,” Mayweather Sr. said about his son. “He told me it’s (against) some kind of MMA fighter.”
When asked about McGregor specifically, Floyd Sr. didn’t hold back, and even said the bout could happen soon.
“We’d beat the hell out of that man,” he said about McGregor. “My son can whoop him. He’s dead.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought they would do,” Mayweather Sr. said, confirming that if it happens, it would be under boxing rules. “That’s what everyone has been saying. I really don’t know exactly when, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to come around pretty soon. Won’t be that long.”
“I’ll tell you this, if it’s not MMA fighting, Conor is going to get the hell beat out of him. I know lil’ Floyd ain’t going for being an MMA fighter, so that means that McConor is going to get the hell beat out of him still.”
Although it’s still hard to believe that the bout can be finalized, Mayweather vs McGregor odds have already been posted, and bookies give the UFC fighter a better chance at winning than former boxing champ Andre Berto.
