It appears as if UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman’s Twitter account has been hacked, and Conor McGregor was caught in the crossfire.
The hack happened earlier tonight (Sat., Jan. 18, 2020) at the same time UFC 246 unraveled in Las Vegas, Nevada, as McGregor readied himself for a main event return against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Usman’s account began to post obscene, racist, and explicit statements about multiple people, including McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The hacker event went as far as releasing a screenshot of Usman’s back account showing $500,000.
While all of it crosses the line, one of the more interesting outbursts centered around McGregor. The posts are too obscene to share, but they were directed towards McGregor’s wife, Dee Devlin, and contained some pretty profane material.
The tirade certainly isn’t going to take away from the attention of tonight’s main event between McGregor and Cerrone, but it does offer a little extra intrigue on an already buzzing weekend. Fortunately, Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, was able to reach out to the MMA community and assure a fix is on the way.

The verbal tirade targeted at McGregor certainly isn’t something you want on fight night, but “Notorious” seems zoned in for his long-awaited return to the Octagon. We’ll see if the former UFC champion can get back in the win column and make 2020 his most memorable year yet.
