Conor McGregor may not be up to doing a lot of promotion for his return to the Octagon at UFC 229 on October 6, 2018 where he meets current Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but he’s doing his part on social media.

After “The Eagle” took to Instagram to post a portrait of himself in the middle of training with a “step by step” caption, “Notorious” made it known that he’s lurking around to see what his foe is doing.

Taking to the popular social media platform himself, Conor responded to Khabib’s post with a small dig.

Subtle, yet effective.

The two men are scheduled to meet face-to-face for the first time ever when they take part in a much-anticipated press conference this Thursday (Sept. 20, 2018) inside Radio City Music Hall in New York, N.Y. in the lead-up to their title fight.

Of course, Conor wanted to get up-and-close and personal with Khabib much sooner than that by storming Barclays Center in Brooklyn earlier this year in an attempt to engage in some unsanctioned fisticuffs with the undefeated (26-0, 10-0 UFC) champion.

And you know what happened soon thereafter.

To no one’s surprise, Conor avoided any serious punishment (from the law or UFC) for his violent rampage and was cleared to make his long-awaited return to mixed martial arts (MMA) in an attempt to re-gain one of the titles he was stripped of.

Khabib, meanwhile, is in search of his biggest win to date, as a victory over “Notorious” will not only bring him his biggest paycheck, but also put a stamp on his status as the undisputed 155-pound champion and the best fighter in the game today.
