Conor McGregor spoke briefly about his next UFC bout.
Conor McGregor is currently in the US celebrating St. Patrick’s day, and during a parade in Chicago, the former two-division champion briefly spoke about his next UFC bout.
“Yes, we’re currently in negotiations, we’re aiming for July, we’ll see what happens,” McGregor told ABC 7 in Chicago (HT: MMA Mania). “I am staying ready. This morning I was doing incline sprints on the treadmill on my program, the McGregorFast program, today in a hotel room. So we’re staying on it, getting work in as we go.”

July is reportedly the same targeted date for the proposed bout against Donald Cerrone. According to Dana White though, that fight is “nowhere close” to happening, and McGregor might get a different opponent.
Cowboy says the hold up is the UFC pushing the bout to be a co-headliner, which doesn’t seem to be sitting well with McGregor.
