Over the last year, Tony Ferguson has poked fun at Conor McGregor any chance he gets on social media and interviews, trying to pick a fight against the biggest money-making machine mixed martial arts (MMA) has ever seen.

His latest Twitter attack on “Notorious,” however, was met with kindness from the usually brash Irishman, as the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champ-champ killed his fellow Lightweight with kindness instead of verbal fire.

Check it out:

“If we have the ability to go back, Tony. Then we have the ability to go forward again! I wish you well and am praying for you as a fellow colleague. Respect to my Paradigm familia. Yours sincerely, Burger King.”

Of course, both Conor and Tony are represented by Paradigm Sports Management.

Ferguson recently turned down the opportunity to fight for the interim lightweight title against Max Holloway, which ultimately went to Dustin Poirier and will headline UFC 236 on April 13, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. To hear “El Cucuy” tell it, the fight simply didn’t meet his standards.

As for Conor, he will be eligible to return to action as early as next month, so there is the possibility of a showdown between “Notorious” and “El Cucuy,” who is apparently holding out for bigger and better things.

Unless this “Cowboy” has something to say about it.
