Conor McGregor appears to make yet another tasteless remark.
Conor McGregor has been criticized for statements and actions going well beyond basic “fight promotion” in the past, and it looks like he’ll just keep lowering that bar.
After repeatedly making tasteless and crass remarks towards Dustin Poirier’s wife and threatening to kill him and his family “in your sleep” after he lost, McGregor now decided to go after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s dead father.
On Monday night, McGregor suddenly decided to reply to his former opponent’s pretty tame jab at him from over two weeks ago.
Good always defeats evil.
Very happy for @DustinPoirier I hope you will get the belt end of the year— khabib nurmagomedov (@TeamKhabib) July 11, 2021
Covid is good and father is evil?

“Covid is good and father is evil?” McGregor wrote on a tweet that has since been deleted.
Khabib’s father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov passed away in 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.
Khabib dominated and beat McGregor in 2018. He has since retired undefeated, saying that he intends to spend more time with his mother after his father passed away.
Dana White denounced McGregor’s previous comments involving family, but this remark on Khabib’s dead father seems a lot worse, even by the Irishman’s standards.
McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh previously tried to blame the classless statements towards Poirier and his wife on a “rush of hormones” from the injury, only for the former UFC champion to repeat the death threats and even involve his daughter days later.
McGregor, who made “excuses” and hasn’t handled his second straight loss with any class, also had another bizarre tweet claiming that his doctor stoppage loss isn’t a TKO. The tweet was also deleted shortly after.
Jumping a guillotine is not a takedown.
Absorbing the kick into the leg is not a check.
A doctor stoppage is not a tko.
The game goes on bitches.
Piss ants to me yous all are.
Not even peasants. Piss ants!

The 33-year-old has just one win in almost five years, and has lost by stoppage in three of his last four bouts. McGregor also dealt with numerous controversies outside the cage in the last few years, including multiple arrests and rape allegations.
