Open tryouts are set for today (September 17, 2012) for the next season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as the UFC has put out the call for middleweight and light heavyweight fighters.
The reality series will kick off in the new year as season sixteen is just one episode into the latest season featuring coaches Shane Carwin and Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson.
UFC president Dana White sent out the reminder on Sunday via Twitter (@DanaWhite).

No news yet as to who the next coaches will be for season seventeen, but a number of fighters have asked for the job including UFC 153 headliner Stephan Bonnar.
