Midnight Mania! Boxing champ creates #McGregorChallenge after bizarre Conor McGregor warm up routine

Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight …

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Terence Crawford, boxing champion and another talent in the “pound for pound” discussion, has gone all in on McGregor’s weird warm-up, with the “McGregor Challenge” for boxers. It is pretty great.

I challenge all boxers to the McGregor Challenge @stevennelsonboxing @redder402 @coach_chet_

It’s already sweeping the internet, with other pro boxers getting in on the challenge

Not everyone is as good at having rubber arms as McGregor is

Crawford wasn’t the only one making fun of… whatever McGregor was doing.

Cody Garbrandt got called out for using the term “boy” to refer to Aljamain Sterling, just like Conor did to Floyd. Maybe we should just not use racially charged terms to refer to black men? That’d be great, especially in this current climate.

Wait in line boy

— Cody Garbrandt (@Cody_Nolove) August 14, 2017

.@TJDillashaw is next, @FunkMaster_UFC just riding high off the biggest win he will ever get, can’t be mad at the boy. https://t.co/7cjn3Ltzn9

No, Cody… why would you leave just the mustache? Don’t do this to yourself

Tae Hyun Bang was released by the UFC and is now being formally charged for fight fixing, one of the few, if not the only, verified instances of fight fixing in the UFC. Memorably enough, it came in against Leo Kuntz, meaning the fight titled Bang-Kuntz was fixed.

Georges St. Pierre’s middleweight title bout may seem farcical to MMA fans, but it is officially happening. The winner is obligated to fight Sir Robert Knuckles, so at least we have that to eventually look forward to. Here is the early statistical breakdown for GSP-Bisping:

The response to that Malignaggi footage has been brutal reprisal from the MMA Internet, starting with Conor himself and rippling outward from there:
