In a since-deleted tweet, Jones doubled down and expanded on the what he meant. He sees his current suspension as a dull but necessary interlude between what he has done and what he is going to do.

The suspension Jones currently faces, and the license revocation he underwent from the CSAC, is from his second USADA test failure for turinabol, a Cold War-era steroid. His previous suspension was also for Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs), which he claimed were for sexual performance enhancement. He has also routinely been in trouble out of the cage for things like his hit-and-run of a pregnant lady.

Inside the cage, though, he’s right: no one has been able to touch him. His old rival, current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, attempts to put their rivalry behind him by winning the heavyweight crown from Stipe Miocic at UFC 226.

The UFC on ESPN deal is not about to fix the issues the UFC currently faces on Fox.

-Most main cards will begin at 10:00 pm et as they do now
-ESPN+ deal gives flexibility for international shows to start in that market’s prime time rather than catering to North American prime time

#FIGHTTIP – I love @henrihooft pad holding because a lot of times we choose a combo and drill it for minutes at a time. This hook, hook, straight is so simple but when thrown a ton of times in succession, your muscles learn every little inch of the combo and your body adapts to its trajectory. This style of pads has increased my power, increased my accuracy and slown down my thinking process when attacking an opponent. This style of pads assures that I’m not sacrificing good solid technique just to get a cardio workout in. – Most people want to do 5 minute rounds because that’s how long we fight for each round. The problem is, in the 4th and 5th minute the fighter ends up flat footed, dead tired and sacrificing technique when they could be shortening the rounds and focusing on accuracy and power. I’ve seen this to actually diminish the striking abilities of a fighter. – This is very much a “to each his own” post, but this has been my experience throughout the years.
