Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Nearly five years after their inaugural BMF title clash at UFC 244, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set to throw down a second time in a 10-round, 175-pound light heavyweight boxing bout on Sat., June 1, 2024 at Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. It’s an obvious yet strange booking, one that will test the pay-per-view (PPV) star power of two older MMA fighters who have historically moved the needle.

Since fans are being asked to fork over their hard-earned pay to see this grudge match in the ring, the duo are going on an extensive media tour to promote the fight. Earlier this week, Diaz made headlines for smoking a joint on stage in New York after a fan threw it to him! Between hits, the two debated who was the diva and why the rematch was in a cage rather than ring.

Standard fight stuff.

The problem is that Nate Diaz hates interviews, press conferences, and most fight obligations outside of actually hitting the other guy. He’s known to flee from such scenarios, and it happened again earlier on Friday evening. In very classic Diaz fashion, he walked right out and left Masvidal sitting there confused.

“I’m done with all this s—t,” Diaz began. “I’m cool with all this f—king talking s—t. I got a whole team to represent. I don’t want to do none of this, I never did want to do any of it: Fuck this n—ga and fuck his team, bro! I’m out, I gotta go.

Square up with yourself, motherf—ker.”

Timeless as ever, Nathan.

ALL REACTIONS, ALL THE TIME!

Aljamain Sterling gives some interesting context to the lead up of his UFC 300 bout versus Calvin Kattar:

This edit overlayed on top of Demetrious Johnson impersonating fighters takes it to another level!

Reading the caption, I thought maybe it was a cheeky moment. Nope, just a d—k move!

Jamahal Hill cannot help but to argue with fight fans online.

Bobby Green’s style is responsible for an excellent career, better than many, many fighters who kept their hands glued to their chin.

Cory Sandhagen breaks down Diego Lopes’ recent knockout win:

Slips, rips, and KO clips

I greatly enjoy seeing athletes attempt to game the system only for it to blow up in their face.

It’s hard to resist the desperation shot as soon as the back touches the fence …

Beautiful combinations en route to the finish.
