Following a lengthy surgery to repair his nose, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry is feeling just as combative as ever.

One of the highlights from the UFC’s first foray into Uruguay was “Platinum” Mike Perry’s epic war with Vicente Luque, a three round back and forth that saw both men uncork ass whuppins aplenty en route to Luque winning the split decision.

There are many who still think Perry won, but with Luque destroying Perry’s nose in the third round with a flying knee we’ll hazard to say the right guy earned it based on damage. Luque walked out of the cage tenderized but not brutalized. Perry ended up in the hospital undergoing extensive surgery to repair his nose.

Just take a look at some of these pictures. My. God.

But the razor thin loss hasn’t taken any sass out of Perry’s sails. He threw a middle finger up at the Montevideo crowd when they booed a brief tie up in the third after his nose was obliterated, and he threw up two in this photo from the hospital following the loss.

”Still can’t knock me out,” Perry wrote next to the photo.

He also commented on the third round knee that busted his nose in backwards.

He also shared the moment when he flipped off the crowd, commenting “They loved my response! Thank you Uruguay!”

That’s one way to win over the audience.

With the loss Perry drops to 13-5 (6-5 UFC) and true to his word, “Platinum” has been decisioned and submitted but never knocked out. We hope that will tide him over as his wounds heal … that and the $50,000 Fight of the Night performance bonus the UFC threw his way.
