Mike Pierce & Kenny Robertson Agree To Meet At UFC 126

A welterweight matchup between Mike Pierce (13-3) and UFC newcomer Kenny Robertson (10-0) is tentatively scheduled for the upcoming Super Bowl weekend UFC 126 event.

Pierce made the announcement on JoeShowRadio.com noting that he had an unconfirmed bout for UFC 126 and had made verbal agreements to meet Robertson at the event.

Pierce is currently on a two-fight win streak and is 3-1 in the UFC as well as 8-1 in his last nine fights. He last appeared in the octagon in August, earning a third round submission win over Amilcar Alves at UFC 118. He won a unanimous decision over Julio Paulino at UFC Live: Vera vs. Jones, lost to Jon Fitch at UFC 107 by unanimous decision, and defeated Brock Larson by unanimous decision at UFN 19.

Robertson will put his undefeated streak on the line against Pierce last fought under the Bellator banner defeating John Kolosci by keylock submission in August. Before that fight he earned a TKO win over Igor Almeida in April of this year at a Maximo Fighting Championship event in Puerto Rico. Seven of his ten wins have come by submission, two by TKO and only one by decision.

UFC 126 will take place on Feb. 5th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
