An undercard bout between UFC heavyweights Mike Russow (13-1,1 NC) vs. Jon Madsen (7-0) was made official today for the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Ortiz vs. Nogueira event. The bout completes an eleven fight card set for March 26 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.
Spike TV will broadcast a four-fight main card that evening featuring matches between headliners Tito Ortiz vs. Antônio Rogério Nogueira, Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson, Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig, and Leonard Garcia vs Nam Phan II.
Russow makes his first octagon appearance since come-from-behind knockout victory over Todd Duffee in May at UFC 114. The third round KO earned him the “Knockout of the Night” bonus. It was his ninth straight victory and second in the UFC.
Madsen remains undefeated and is 4-0 in the UFC since making his promotion debut as part of “The Ultimate Fighter” season ten finale in December of 2009. His last fight was against Gilbert Yvel at UFC 121 in October, earning a TKO victory in the first round.
