MMA Fighter Jordan Parsons’ leg amputed, organs failing as Delray Beach police hunt for hit-and-run driver

The life of Bellator MMA fighter Jordan Parsons was forever changed on April 30, 2016 when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The Delray Beach Police Department is still searching for the suspect who fled the scene …

Bellator 154: “Davis vs. King Mo,” which takes place at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on May 14, 2016, was originally scheduled to feature Jordan Parsons (11-2) versus undefeated fighter Adam Piccolotti (7-0) on the Spike TV main card.

That all changed on this past weekend when Parsons was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Delray Beach, Florida. The initial prognosis for Parsons’ outcome was not poor. And a tweet from Ariel Helwani shows his situation is even more dire than initially reported.

Just spoke to @glennauthentic: Jordan Parsons had to have his full right leg amputated last night. His organs were starting to fail …

As Parsons lays in a hospital bed fighting for his life, the Delray Beach Police Department is urging the public to come forward with any information about the suspect who ran him down.

There isn’t much to go on at this moment except a damaged side mirror that was left on the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Parsons continues to fight for his life.

And his heart was only working at 20%. He’s currently having heart surgery and that should last another hour or so, per Robinson.
