At Rage in the Cage 152, it only took a few seconds for Jamie “The Headhunter” Schmidt to strike his way to victory over Lee Chapman.
The fight starts at around 7:35 in the video.
Schmidt entered the fight with an 8-3 record with one no contest and had not entered the cage for more then year since his knockout loss to Rich Taylor at Playboy Fight Night 4.
Ring rust played no factor in Schmidt’s fight and instantly came out with an opening Superman punch and a quick knee. Then when Chapman pressed forward with a leg strike, Schmidt took advantage and lifted Chapman just to toss him down on the ground.
Schmidt then took quick advantage the devastating powerslam and instantly began his attack and landed a few quick strikes that further knocked out Chapman.
This lightweight battle only took a quick 11 seconds to end.
With this loss Chapman dropped his record to 4-7 with one no contest. Six of his seven losses have come via knockout.
Schmidt though increased his record to 9-3 with one no contest. Schmidt earned his fifth victory by knockout. His other four wins have come by submission. Not only that, but all of Schmidt’s wins have come in the first round. None of his fights have gone past the second round.
