One of mixed martial arts’ most prominent opponents is expected to win
his re-election.

New York Assemblyman Bob Reilly, who’s helped maintain the state’s
current lack of MMA regulation and fought against new legislation, is
expected to edge Republican Jennifer Whalen in New York’s 109th District
by fewer than 1,000 votes.

The Democrat first held the office in 2004.
