Joe Rogan isn’t the only member of the mixed martial arts (MMA) community being tied to former President Donald Trump this week.
On Friday, a commentator at the Brave CF 84 event in Zhengzhou, China, decided to bring up Trump’s assassination attempt while calling a fight on the undercard. It was completely unexpected and a truly cringe moment to bring fight fans into the weekend.
The incident occurred during a matchup between inexperienced fighters Weiqiang Yan and Mohamed Alsameea. This wasn’t a fight that was going to steal the show by any stretch of the imagination, but once the action got going the color commentator simply couldn’t help himself.
Yan was getting the better of the exchanges in the opening moments of the first round and slammed a crisp uppercut up the middle. It caught Alsameea flush and snapped his head back. That prompted one of the worst play-by-play calls of the year. Check it out below:

“More precise than a sniper at a Trump rally and causing real, real problems for Alsameea,” said the commentator.
Fight fans have heard some bad calls throughout the years, but bringing up an assassination attempt on a former President that happened just one month ago might be the lowest of lows. I guess it could have been worse if Trump didn’t walk away with minor injuries after getting shot in the face.
Thoughts? Fair play?
