UFC 129 PosterAlthough no official announcement has been made by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, MMAFighting.com is reporting that the promotion will stream two preliminary bouts from the upcoming UFC 129 event via their Facebook fan page on April 30.

Appearing on Facebook will be a bantamweight matchup between Ivan “Pride of El Salvador” Menjivar (21-8) vs. Charlie Valencia (12-6), and a welterweight bout featuring Canadian fighter Claude “The Prince” Patrick (13-1) vs. Daniel “Ninja” Roberts (12-1). MMAFighting.com did note that the number of free Facebook fights could change, as well as those bouts streamed on the internet.

UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields is scheduled to take place on April 30 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event is expected to host the largest MMA event ever on North American soil, with 55,000 fans expected to take in the live event, which coincides with a UFC Fan Expo taking place on the same weekend.

The Facebook fights are not the only preliminary bouts set to air for free that night. Two bouts, a couple of welterweight matchups between Sean Pierson vs. Jake Ellenberger and Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald are set to air on Spike TV in the U.S. and on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada.
