As noted last week via FloCombat, Gegard Mousasi claimed Conor McGregor threatened him with a knife when the things got heated between the two in a private conversation held after Mousasi spoke negatively of McGregor at the UFC 204 post-fight press conference in Manchester, England after his victory over MMA legend Vitor Belfort.

On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour at MMAFighting.com, Mousasi elaborated on the subject with show-host Ariel Helwani.

“That ginger-headed f*ck is retarded,” Mousasi said. “In the interview I mentioned, they were talking about respect or whatever, and then he texted me on Twitter. He messaged me, and I said, ‘what’re you going to do with your 50kg?’ And then he was, I don’t know, he was philosophical or whatever the f*ck he was writing, he was like, ‘a knife is lighter than a pound, it can cut from ear-to-ear,’ whatever the f*ck he was writing.”

Mousasi continued, “That guy is a bum. He’s a 50kg guy, what the f*ck is he going to do? I bet if he’s face-to-face, he’s not going to say that. But you know, Twitter gives some people courage.”

McGregor, sans-knife, returns to the Octagon to try and make history as UFC’s first simaltaneous two-division champion, as he faces UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in the main event of UFC’s first NY event, UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor, on Saturday, November 12th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
