My Bet Is On ‘Magnum’

I would say that Henry Cejudo is getting a little too big for his britches, but seeing “Triple C” next to newly-crowned UFC women’s strawweight champion, Weili Zhang, has me hesitant to call the Olympic gold medalist “too big” for anything….

Not that it seemed to stop Cejudo from capturing championship titles in two different weight classes. After scoring a split decision win over Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227, the fighter formerly known as “The Messenger” registered back-to-back finishes over TJ Dillashaw and Marlon Moraes, the latter of which awarded him the vacant bantamweight crown.

The surgically-repaired Cejudo (15-2) has now set his sights on some of the other belts in his weight classes and looks to become the promotion’s first inter-gender champion, though I should mention that his first foray into women’s mixed martial arts (MMA) left him at the mercy of Valentina Shevchenko.

Maybe this guy was right about Cejudo staying in his lane.
