Mystic Mike predicts he’ll KO Georges St-Pierre in the first round

Michael Bisping is turning up the mental warfare against GSP with claims of spies and first round knockouts.

You can say what you will about Michael Bisping compared to some of the beasts he’s not fighting in the middleweight division, but with Chael Sonnen gone to Bellator he’s definitely the best s**t talker at 185 pounds. His podcast ‘Believe You Me’ has become a favorite for both fans and the media due to all the entertaining crap he slings. Like, for example, this claim that he’s got spies watching Georges St-Pierre training in Los Angeles.

“He’s actually in LA a lot these days,” Bisping said (transcription via MMA Junkie). “He’s been at the Wild Card Boxing Gym, training with Freddie Roach. I have a couple of spies in there by the way, and they told me some info. Georges: if you’re listening buddy, that’s a public domain. I know people in there. I know what you’re working on, pal. I know what you’re working on, and it ain’t going to work on me, Georgie boy.”

Is it true? Is it false? Are his comments alcohol fueled? Guessing is all part of the fun when it comes to Bisping and his many declarations. Like this one that he’ll knock GSP out in the first round.

“Generally when I’ve fought wrestlers in the past, I move around a lot. I utilize lots of lateral movement, forward and back movement, side to side. Because if you’re moving, it’s hard for a wrestler to shoot a double leg on you because you’re a moving target. I won’t be doing that this time. I’m going to stand right in front of him, I’m going to plant my feet. I’m going to walk him down, put him on the back foot, and I’m going to knock him out in the first round. You have my word.”

What do you think? If he pulls it off at UFC 217 on November 4th should we start calling him Mystic Mike?
