Fight fans were not disappointed last night (Sat., Mar. 23, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 6 live on ESPN+ from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, as former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis made a successful welterweight debut by knocking out Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson with a superman punch in the second round (highlights here).
In addition to the successful return of “Showtime,” Maycee Barber made good on her sophomore fight with a second-round TKO win over JJ Aldrich, Marlon Vera finished his third-straight fight with a 85-second TKO finish over bantamweight veteran Frankie Saenz, women’s strawweight mainstay Randa Markos scored her first UFC finish with a first-round submission of Angela “Overkill” Hill, and featherweights Bryce Mitchell and Bobby Moffett turned in a back-and-forth affair on the “Prelims” headliner.
